@@helenespaulding7562 I think at the time that kind of anthem music was very popular with like imagine dragons and muse. Then music started to shift and now most stuff is either very pop ie Taylor swift and Olivia Rodrigo or that singer songwriter folk stuff like Noah Khan. So I feel like the music she writes is a lot more alternative and not radio hits. But their music is still sooo good. I just don’t think it fits what is top 40 anymore. But ya she’s writing a musical and from what I’ve heard it’s AMAZING
"Dogs days are over" is one of my favourites, it entertain and get you mesmerised. But there are so many. I do love there "older" once more. Speaks to my emo.😊
If you ever get the chance to see her in concert, DO IT. She's got an unbelievable amount of energy. I've seen her at festivals a few times, and she's always amazing.
I got to see her in Chicago on Dance Fever Tour. Amazing show. Such a celebration as Covid restrictions were being lifted and so much of that album is about Covid.
Kate Bush and Florence + The Machine are two amazing rabbit holes to jump down. Unlike with Kate, who rarely performed live after her one and only tour in 1979 (and her London residency in 2014), there are many amazing live performances from Florence + The Machine to choose from.
Florence + the Machine live at The Royal Albert Hall, full concert is absolutely AMAZING and up here on youtube on her channel I beleive. It is there or on the Teen Cancer Trust channel which is the charity she is performing for at that concert. One of my top 10 concerts. Whenever she is on tour she visits Hospice patients. There is an absolutely heart wrenching video of her singing with a terminal cancer patient posted by the girls family.
Florence is an amazing artist. I bought her debut album right before it got huge based on a random review in a magazine and was blown away. Her set of pipes is incredible and she has just gotten better and better. She released an album about a year ago, as well as a few cover songs. I recommend the songs Free, Ship to Wreck, Cosmic Love, and the one that started it all, Dog Days Are Over.
Literally stifled an excited scream when I saw you'd reacted to Florence! 😄 Please, please, please do more!!! She's my all-time favorite music artist. 😁
Florence is one of my favorite female vocalists and the band has some of the most innovative writing and overall production value. They are equally as brilliant performing live in concert.
Florence has such an ethereal and unique voice. If you really want to see Florence then check out her live performances. In my opinion she’s one of the best of not the best live performer of our time. One of my favorite concerts was when they did the Flow Festival. Absolutely amazing!
I am super joyful you have listened to this song. Florence is such a superb singer and performer. My fave version of this song if you can view it is the BBC Hackney Weekend. I think 2011.
You should DEFINITELY listen to her live performances. The studio just does not do her justice. Check out her performances at Royal Albert Hall, MTV Unplugged, Flow Festival, the Dance Fever tour live at Madison Square Garden, and any of her performances for SiriusXM. And keep your eyes peeled for her BBC Proms debut at Royal Albert Hall this coming September, where she will be performing an orchestral rendition of her first album, Lungs. Happy listening!
You should listen to "No light, No light" I heard it randomly on the radio driving to work at midnight about 8 or nine years ago I think. I IMMEDIATELY looked them up when I got to work and have listening ever since. Never heard them on the radio since.
I love watching people discover her music. She’s very broad in her sound so you will probably find yourself constantly surprised for a while. She’s my favorite artist of today
You have heard of them before because the judges picked their song Dog Days Are Over for Pentatonix to sing on the Sing Off. I believe it was your favorite performance. I just got into Florence and the Machine this week and I'm obsessed. I can't believe you haven't reacted to another song yet.
Thank you for reacting to Florence and the machine. She has an amazing voice! Please listen to MTV unplugged “Cosmic Love”. Even if you don’t do a video and just listen for yourself. She is amazing!!!
Florence is one of a kind. Highly recommend her live performances. She’s the ULTIMATE performer and just as amazing vocally even when running around the stage like a maniac 😂 A great place to start for vocals is her performance of no light no light on SNL ❤
When Florence Welch step upon a stage, surrender, you are already possessed. She's an angel and a demon running free. SOngs I love: King Free Dogs Days Are Over You've Got The Love Big God Hunger ...
It's hard to dance with the devil on your back is an iconic lyric.. truly.. am not religious at all but that lyric is sooooo powerful... It means alot to me... She's a genius at putting anyone in a moment.. the devil on your back can be both religious and mental.. and it doesn't much matter..there's still a darkness nested on your shoulder.. shake it off ❤
Florence and the machine are more than music..they are art...in its purest form.. if you're on spotify listening its epic but if you watch their videos to..well... Pure art.. she reminds me of kate bush.. absolutely incredible ❤
Florence is wonderful. A great lyricist and voice. Off this same album is a song, "What the Water Gave Me" that has long been one of my personal favorites. Dark subject matter but beautiful.
All of her songs and videos are a work of art . ( king ) , and ( Big God ) are her more recent releases of hers I think from 2023 maybe 2022 need to watch the videos for both .
Florence is a GODDESS and incredible live. Her last album is a masterpiece but quite different from her early stuff "Free" from her last album is about mental health and its SOO GOOD The year Foo Fighters had to pull out of Glastonbury Florence stepped in and performed the BEST cover of "Times Like These" ive ever heard
Funny story - my mom saw them on tv and said she saw the reedy red-head come out on stage and was expecting a soft, sweet voice - was completely flabbergasted when Florence then began wailing like a beautiful banshee!! 😀
Oh, this is on regular rotation on my playlist. She's phenomenal, very influenced by Stevie Nicks! "No Light No Light" from that album is amazing too, amongst a lot of collaborations she's done.
Oh yes we need more Florence on the channel. F+M don’t get any where near enough attention from reactors. For a great live performance check out ‘Delilah’ Live from the Glastonbury Festival 2015.
Hi and thanks for this. Florence is one of those female singers who is cursed to forever be compared to Kate Bush - which is a bit like a woman having her looks compared to Helen of Troy. She also has the bad luck to be frequently compared to Siouxsie Sioux. And neither of those comparisons really do her justice - because we are talking about Kate Bush and Siouxsie Sioux after all. And it is true that some of her subject matter, lyrical flourishes, general sound etc can often remind you of those two exceptional female artists, but it is far better to just take Florence And The Machine as they are and enjoy what they do. And what they do is very, very good indeed, as this song shows. I'm glad you found her and enjoyed her. Her music is a very rewarding journey. On the subject of 'gothic' rock by a female. Since I already mentioned them I do think you would enjoy "Voodoo Dolly" by Siouxsie And The Banshees and "Leave it Open" or "Waking the Witch" by Kate Bush. But it is a big 'yes' from me for more Florence.
Dog Days is probably the go to track to react to for Florence, should you want to explore her more. It's probably the one that she is most known for, outside of her cover of You've got the Love.
My introduction to this group came from a video that popped into my feed. [ruclips.net/video/jAUB2pmqiBg/видео.htmlsi=VtInqH310mXRJSee] It provided me with two insights: 1, there are still some artists worth listening to; 2, pole dancing ought to be an Olympic sport. Mad respect.

❤So glad you found Florence but it is just inconcievable that you don't even know contemporary artists. Maybe you have heard the music on the radio or a film and did not know the name of the artist. This is an amazing band so keep digging.
I am a long time Florence fan, she is the little soft spoken being off stage, but once she gets on stage and starts singing its like a whole a universe explodes from within
More Florence! She isn't just a musician, she's an artist. She's so technically unique that you know her when you hear her.
She’s currently writing a musical version of The Great Gatsby. Florence is an amazing artist. And the band is sick.
Wow,really? She just seemed to disappear off the radio…lost touch with her work.

There's an amazing section of her live when the wonderful LP joins her on stage...must see! 😊✌🇬🇧
Honestly, I LOVE her whole sound and aesthetic... her first two albums 'Lungs' and 'Ceremonials' was played to death! So many scratches on it haha

Her live performance of Shake It Out on the X Factor is life changing... I don't say that lightly 😊
Florence is one of my favorite female vocalists and the band has some of the most innovative writing and overall production value.

She writes the songs too.
Drumming Song or Howl…..either one…she want Florence has to give in raw emotion and singing!!!

There is a great rendition of this song on RUclips by a youth choir. Called, I think, a tribute to Florence....
Florence is very 80s...but contemporary. Wonderful!
Great stuff! Try Dog Days Are Over: you’ll be completely hooked!
Glee covered this and it's worth a listen.
There is no Florence without Kate :-)
Dog Days are Over...
Florence Welch is a treasure. Listen to "Dog Days are Over" for the FULL Florence and the Machine. 😁
Finding out this song is about a hangover is amazing 💀
Have to do their "Dog Days Are Over"!!!
Dog Days Are Over is one of THE Must listens
