This is a great interview, but pretty difficult to listen to with the split left/right audio.

Yes! This is awesome, thank you Lewis for having Rich Roll on your show. I have been plant based for over a year and I feel amazing physically and mentally. It's great to hear someone articulate so well that doesn't feel like deprivation at all, but rather it's a very sustainable and enjoyable way of living. Love it!

Bonnie Hundley Kale smoothies (75% kale) have changed my life for the better. Energy is much better, skin is clear and naturally rosy, and my recent blood test was great to boot. It’s not just a drink for me - this is healing medicine!

good job boys. Re dark green smoothies for breakfast (no juicer), can i use e.g. a tablespoon of an organic powdered greens combo from a health food store with a glass of bottled juice for good effect still? As good effect? ty

Why is it some foods like goji berries, acai, maca powder etc. considered "super foods"? It's like they get special treatment. If you're eating a whole- foods plant based diet, you're by default, consuming super foods. Why catagorise? Most plant foods offer the body bulk nutrients, vitamins and minerals... Sure some plant foods offer more of these things, but it shouldn't make them more "super" than others. I could be wrong... What does everyone else think?

+Tesla Nikola u are absolutely fuckin correct Apples grapes potatoes rice spinach them..are SUPER foods!!

      It's because of money.
beans, chickpeas, lentils, broccoli are "super foods" but they have been around forever. so you can't market them and sell them overpriced like those "new" foods.

I agree. The importance of eating a wide variety of healthful foods in anyone's diet is more important than eating any one specific "super food." BTW, I do not consider meat, dairy, or eggs healthful. You can eat a varied diet tha is 100% plant based.

if it was 1994 the hard panned mics would prob be ok almost cool even! but nobody has 2 speakers ( a stereo ) anymore unfortunately so it makes almost no difference to the listener! i do have a stereo ( 2 speakers) and unfortunately it exposes the fact that if ur gonna take a risk and pan your mics then at least pan them in the same direction as what the visual is suggesting! shit im being a dick and moaning now, just trying to help guys. this podcast along with the wim hoff episode are my 2 favourite things on the internet! thanks guys, and thanks for the headspace app heads up rich!!

The term "sustainable" is all fine and definitely good but
is definitely becoming overused. How about "renewable" as a term to describe the many benefits of plant-based living and it's impact on our planet.
