Really like this video gives a good description in a positive way . The silver room and food package we had at Butlin’s Bognor Regis was good value for money . I can’t say I was disappointed. My mum and boyfriend liked it too
Thank you very much, we find the silver rooms are fine, especially as you're out most of the day enjoying all the activities. The meal plans are great value if you like to try lots of little things, or if you like to pile your plate high 😉. I'm glad you all had a lovely holiday.
I hope you have a great time. I've been told there are half a dozen different layouts for the silver room, we've only stayed in two so far, but both were clean and comfortable.
I'm so happy to of come across this video. I'm planning a short stay in the Silver room of the resort and your video has put any worries i had at ease. It's very charming and to be honest I'd rather stay here than the other accommodations the resort has to offer. It's so nice to be able to leave your room without having to deal with elevators, etc.
I so pleased you found it useful. I love looking at places before I stay so I have an idea of what to expect. There are half a dozen slight variations on the silver room layout. On my Halloween video I show you another one. 😊
Thank you, it's changed a lot since i was there in the late 80s/90s. I think one of the hotels has a Butlins through the years wall and i would love to go back and see all the old pictures to see the difference.
Great video I booked the twin room for me and my child as a cheaper deal so I can spend more on a dining plan instead. I realised they don’t come with a fridge I assume we can hire one on resort on the day
Me too. We have a few breaks booked for this year that were postponed from last year. We've seen the TV ads recently and the kids are excited to go back. Do you have a holiday booked to look forward to?
The silver rooms seem to be the nearest thing to the original chalets of the 1960s my family got. I think those rows are the original chalet rows, just given a modern make over. Each Silver Room looks bigger than the old chalets, but it's difficult to tell. Back in the 1960s & 70s the outsides of the chalet rows were made to look like something out of a fairy tale. It was quite impressive for young children. I f you want to get a brief glimpse of what it was like in Butlins Bognor Regis in the mid-1960s take a look at the film "The Beauty Jungle" (1964) starring Ian Hendry. About 20 minutes into the film there are a number of scenes filmed in different parts of the camp. It was a very different, 'fairy tale' style in those days.
Oh wow, I will see if I can find it. I remember Butlins in the late 80s/90s and the self catering apts still look the same. I don't think we stayed in the chalets, but they remind me of Hi-di-hi.
I thought the restaurant options were all very similar. We found the food court plan was fine, unless you want to see your omelettes/pasta cooked in front of you, in which case you'll need premium. There was plenty of choice with a roast and a themed world meal (Italian, Indian etc) each night. We haven't tried dine around yet so I can't say if that is any good or not. 😊
hello I am going there on Monday with my family as a pre teen I will not be happy how highly up the charging port is but hopefully we can make it work!hope you had a great holiday
There are a few slightly different layouts for the silver room, you might be lucky and get one with a lower plug, or maybe ask your parents to take an extension lead just in case 😊
I'm looking at getting the dine around plan and it says I can choose from several restaurants to eat at. So even if I didn't choose this accommodation could I use other restaurants? I'm looking at staying in the wave Hotel apartment x
Yes, I believe with the dinearound plan you can eat at a variety of restaurants. The Wave doesn't have it's own restaurant and uses one of the ones opposite studio 36. We've had standard dining plan there before and it was fine. I hope you have a lovely holiday 😊
You're welcome. Having stayed in all their apartments now, these would be my first choice - although recently they've been more expensive than gold and seaside.
I think you'll really enjoy it. We were there for Halloween last year, the themed shows were good and riding the fairground in the dark was much more fun 😊
We always have a silver rooms on the Big Weekenders (with a meal plan). They're basic but great if you just want somewhere cheap to sleep. They aren't luxurious but are perfectly adequate for a group of tipsy adults 😄
The deluxe suites are nice, and I really liked the Neilson staterooms in the Shoreline Hotel. To be honest, none of them are overly luxurious or made me go "Wow, this is swish."
Me and my families recently visited Bognor Butlin’s . As we were experienced it ,It’s all you can eat it buffet can go back as many times as you want . ‘‘Twas what I liked about it , I prefer that to Al a carte or waiter service to be honest . Your a lot more freer and better value I think
I hope you have a great time. We've really missed it, and are looking forward to our next holiday. The later evening entertainment was fab, we loved the Take That tribute and the comedian before the ABBA show was a little rude, but very funny.

I think I stayed in Oyster Bay in late 90s as a schoolboy. Thank you so much for making this video!
You're welcome. It's great to look back on isn't it, I remember Atlantic Bay from the 90s. 🙂
We are going tomorrow! So excited, thanks for the video. Even more excited now!
I hope you have a great time. I've been told there are half a dozen different layouts for the silver room, we've only stayed in two so far, but both were clean and comfortable.
@@KarionTravelling Excellent! Thankyou 😁 should be going to sleep now but am just googling and getting a excited 😆
I know that feeling. It's very dangerous, I should stop taking my phone to bed, I keep buying holidays at 2am 😉

Yes agree
Very good room tour of the sliver room at BR.
Thank you, I'm glad they were useful and you enjoyed it. 😁
Good informative video, we stayed here 5 years ago, thoroughly enjoyed it but sure has changed since my school holidays here back in 78.

Yes you can, from the hire shop. It used to be free if it was for medication, but I don't know if that's changed now.
I can’t wait until it all opens up again! I miss it!

Looks fab!!!
Thank you, I haven't been to Butlins for years, but we had a great time.
This looks so fun! I really need to travel more! Having a small baby during a pandemic sure doesn’t help 😂
Hope you’re enjoying your stay!
The Butlins tour video will be up soon. We had so much fun there and are looking forward to going back for Halloween. 🎃👻

I personally like old fashioned. Original. It’s got a lot of character
It was unique. @@euniceahmet1756
Which is the best meal plan?

The food looks good!!
I was pleasantly surprised, we had the basic food plan and it was all really nice.
Thank you, very helpful. X

Yes, we go four or five times a year. The silver rooms haven't changed, maybe an extra coat of paint.
@KarionTravelling what are they honestly like u am going in June for a hen weekend .. and dreading it. ..lol

@KarionTravelling ok I like a bit luxury so what would you recommend to.upgrade to
The deluxe suites are nice, and I really liked the Neilson staterooms in the Shoreline Hotel. To be honest, none of them are overly luxurious or made me go "Wow, this is swish."
Breakfast looks yummy, was it all you can eat or are you restricted on quantity? I love a full English.
They were really nice, and yes it's an all you can eat buffet. I would definitely recommend the dining package if you're thinking of staying there.
