It was pretty hilarious because when I was planning my trip to Lukang, I was looking up places to go, and I saw the characters for that lane (no English). I asked my friend Lena from the last video to translate. She had no idea what I was looking up, and gave me a very strange look for asking her to translate this out of the blue! We laughed all night about it haha.
I have to say this video is much better/more interesting than your first Taiwan video. So hopefully your Tainan video will be even more spectacular than this one. Loved the 'quack, quack' moment! :D

So glad your lip healed up poor girl but you did not look like a duck . Can never get over the color so bright and every temple we go past have to stop and look as they normally have such a history. Think we might have to move Taiwan up our list stay safe thanks for the great post

Why you need people to entertain you, can one not entertain themselves and enjoy this quiet little town for what it is. Travelling doesnt mean you have to be entertained wildly. Travelling means you absorb and experience other peoples culture and customs and lifestyle. If a bar is empty, do still go in, enjoy it as it is, have a quiet drink.By the way if everybody stays out of quiet bars, then the bar will stay quiet forever. There always need to be someone to go in first for it to be made crowded.
You can't go inside the main temple with shoes on. It is disrespectful unless the locals are also doing it. All over Asia the custom is to leave the shoes outside the door before entering temple.
Normally I do take my shoes off (I would walk everywhere barefoot if I could, lol) but zero locals took off their shoes at all. Maybe because the temple was partially outside.

For the allergy - probably it is caused by seafood and humid weather. Black tea or the famous Ali Mountain Woo-Long tea might ease that swell.
