What a coincidence! I started playing this mod about a month ago. It's nice seeing you convering it! Alien Armageddon really deserves more attention, so as The AMC Squad and Demon Throne - two other highly ambitious Duke 3D mods!

Definitely one of the best mods to any game out there that I've played. That final new episode -- Hail to the King, Baby! -- is absolutely epic from start to finish. Those final 4 maps especially are going to take a lot out of you 😂
Haven't played this mod in years but i always ran this mod every time i played duke nukem. I used to run this with the roch levels, and there was a fort map with a small village inside that was really tough but fun. Need to pick it up again now, this mod was more vanilla back in 2018-2019 and was great even back then.

Recently played through most of this mod, it's great fun. Still have to play the "Hail to the King Baby" Episode, one of the devs told me, it could take around 20 hours on a first playthrough lol, got bit scared to go on now, but will 100% play it soon anyway.
Don't try and beat Hail to the King in one sitting. Its an absolute behemoth, and the final run toward Braccus is a marathon, not a sprint. Really will push you to your limits.
@@BobExcalibur thats the reason why I didn't start it yet, played all other episodes in one sitting each (minus WoA, not really my thing) but since they told me, it can take up to 20 hours, of course I will split it into multiple sittings for sure 😁
In case any of y'all are interested, there's another Duke Nukem 3D mod called the A.M.C Squad which, in my personal opinion, blows Alien Armageddon out of the water and i personally consider it my cannon Duke 3D sequel. 12 selectable characters with their own unique abilities and weapon loadouts, main missions you can do in whichever order you choose, optional sidequests for you to acquire more research points so you can invest in bigger, more powerful guns, a sim city- lite mechanic where you buy factories and sawmills to produce resources for you, all of the selectable characters have their own specific companion missions. There's just so fucking much and it bums me out how unheard this mod is outside of the Duke 3D community
woa, new characters! I think just duke and bombshell are in the version I have on a flash drive sitting around here somewhere. I've got all the duke and doom content, mods, and mod-combos all on a portable drive with shortcuts for anything I'd want to play. But it's been missing for a year.... Looks like I may as well redownload Alien Armageddon at least. The doom library I had setup though, took FOREVER to get working in a way that was simple and not confusing..
You mentioned that the Megaton Edition was removed, and while yes that is sad, there is another option of getting Duke 3D without getting 20th Anniversary World Tour Edition. Zoom Platform actually has the Atomic Edition with all 3 expansions, Duke!Zone/Duke!Zone II, Duke Nukem's Penthouse Paradise, and a Community Spotliggt Pack, which includes a Total Conversion called Duke, It's Zero Hour. Yeah, it's not a modified version of the 20th Anniversary edition, it's classic Duke Nukem 3D running on DOSBox.

You really should check Savior of Babes and Blood Extra Crispy mod. Two awesome mods with many gameplay changes...They are like Brutal Duke or Brutal Blood with many new weapons, gore, updated effects, sprites, added enemies etc. They are my favourite mods beside Project Brutality 3.0
Man, is there anyway that Xbox Live (Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S) can upload Duke Nukem 3D: Alien Armageddon and other Duke 3D wads on Xbox Live just like how Doom/Doom 2 did?
Honestly i cant play modern fps anymore, i just play boomer shooters like this, amc tc, ashes 2063, turbo overkill, bears in space, trepang 2, vladik brutal and others, unless the AAA industry copies them and makes something that isnt super generic, i dont thinks i will ever buy a AAA fps ever again. 80 bucks for black ops 3? let me laugh BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.

Damn right, Duke nukem is Awesome! Dnf was a bad taste for duke and he deserves a proper comeback. But thank god we have modders!

This Level Up and Weapon system seems to be based on the second Ratchet and Clank game.
It's a brilliant system.

I would hardly call Trepang2 a "Boomer Shooter." It is modern in a lot of ways. I kind of hate that term. Check out Selaco if you haven't.
