Thank you for the easier speed. The other tutorials I have tried were fast and hard to keep up with.

Awesome. Brand new to this and seriously my biggest issue is not just going off tangent playing with new software! Thank you!

I was very interested in using Typewriter scrolling but it was greyed out in the View -> Text Editing menu. I couldn't find the answer anywhere but eventually stumbled on to it myself. I had "Show Page View" turned on. So, you can't have page view and typewriter scrolling at the same time. I don't need page view right now, so I will use the scrolling. Thanks for the nice overview video.

Thank you! I love the typewriting scrolling type, that's always driven me crazy :)

You actually can hide the binder screen by clicking the binder icon in the top menu bar.

At 16:00, you really need to show PC screens for preferences. They are very different and some functions you talk about and show in Mac version are not available (or findable) in the PC.

Your pull-down menu is off my RUclips screen, so went through them all looking for Preferences (Windows version). No luck.

Hello, love your calm delivery ;0). Can you tell me how I indicate how a new document \text has been completed in the binder, so I can see at a glance what I have left to do. Thanks

If I insert a Scene subfolder beneath a Chapter folder, should I rename the Scene title to something specific? For instance: The Laundromat

Had to quit trying to follow your Mac-specific instructions, which left me often lost and hunting for the same functions on the PC Version 3.

Hi Sofiya. I tried changing the typewriter scrolling to middle of the page, but the option was grayed out under View/text editing. Also, I have an entire novel drafted using the novel format, but it has parts! Is there a way to switch the format to novel with parts? Thanks for your help!

    • @SofiyaPasternack

If you've already written the whole novel and you want to add parts afterward, just create folders in your existing file for the parts and drag your chapters into the corresponding part! Easy peasy.
As far as the compile goes for parts, you'll just have to make sure all your parts are designated with the section type you want them to compile as. I'm talking about compile in a video tomorrow! So hopefully that answers some things for you. :)

These videos are very helpful. My only criticism is--speak clearly and stop mumbling. But these videos are a godsend for someone starting out with the complex program.
