9:35 Cat! One thing I haven't heard discussed enough is how bumps in the road affect braking, especially in emergency situations. Significant bumps will rapidly load and unload the suspension, changing the force on the front wheel and thus how much traction you have, in turn changing how much you can brake. Nonissue on a smooth track, but I've definitely had it happen where I'm braking optimally then hit a bumpy patch and ABS engages.
Ya roads just have so many flaws man it's a damn mine field out there. All these taxes we pay and for what. But in the last like 4 months my whole town has been redoing huge quantities of roads so I might not be able to complain as much soon. But ya you're right. Those bumps are expanding and contracting your contact patch. If you put significant force requirements on a shrinking contact patch that's low side city. Some mornings I make a turn I've made 10000 times but on cold tires I can feel the front wheel slip a tiny bit. "These Public roads are dark and full of terrors" I think that's what the red lady says.
Thanks man! There's a lot of reasons to be fearful but I find more positive than negatives in riding. Lots of people feel otherwise, doesn't make them wrong but I wanna share my enthusiasm maybe convert some motovirgins. We waiting for you!🫡🫡
Breaking is a skill as well as every thing on a bike abs is wonderful for new riders but as a experienced rider who has actually practiced emergency breaking it isn’t always as good as you think. Most people compare abs on cars to bikes and the reality is there completely different. Definitely enjoy your delivery on the video keep up the good work
Ya with a car there's just so many wheels I was thinking about what it would take to have 4 separate brakes and blew my own mind. Walking through my thoughts on th topic does have me thinking I should spend some time with abs off just to have a more holistic understanding of it. Just hesitate thinking the numerous road surfaces would make it near impossible to have a good feeling for the limit in each area maybe I'm over thinking it though. And thank you!🫡🫡
I had a dang segment showing mine and cut it accidently. It'd a portion of unused tire on the edges which show that you haven't leaned the tires to the edge very much. I swear to God I almost named the video that.
Yeah the ABS being better than humans only applies to cars, where you have double the wheels giving you more precision (thats why ABS is banned in F1 for example, because it's about the drivers skill and not a computer outperforming every human being on earth). totally different story on a motorcycle!

Great Video Again Man I appreciate these videos especially from a person who hasn't ridden before💪

You're giving great advice to avoid the layin' of the down. What exactly are chicken strips for a bike? Motorcycle Myths 2: Lost in New York

Ya I'm starting to think maybe that's where I got that mistakenly attributed piece of wisdom from and I applied it to motorcycles in my mind 😅
If they didn't want a computer to beat everyone how to you explain Verstappen's career🤔 clearly a robot....
