I'm an absolute GB newbie. I play clarinet, and I just want to record parts with friends then splice them together. For, you know, fun since we can't play together in lockdown. This is the first GB video that's actually been useful! Thanks a lot.
I also found that on the new GarageBand release, the Electronic Drum Kit - Boutique 78 works lovely with the H and G keys! Super easy to hear and not-annoying click!
Yea - so it seems that apple has dropped some of the drum kits in the new Garageband release. I lost Hip Hop kit when I upgraded my macbook. the closest I found in 10.1.10 is the Electronic Drum Kit, Modern Club, octave C2, keys G & H (on the musical typing keyboard). if anyone finds a download of the Hip Hop Kit.exs file, share the link!
Hey man; great video again. You responded to a question I had about a month ago regarding the hip hop kit and included a link to additional click tracks already made. I can't find the link or my original question under your video?? LOL Apreciate if you could re respond with the information. Thanks Chris Vee
Thanks for this video. I learned something valuable. I find it strange that GarageBand doesn't come with a few click tracks built in, standard. Nothing fancy, but just one for each of the three or four major time signatures, something you could vary the bpm's on.
So I have to make a click track that has multiple time signatures, and this offsets the measure counter at the top. How do I get the measures with different meters to line up with the counter up top? Additionally, the speed changes multiple times for the track. Do I need to make another channel for each change in meter/speed?
+Lauren Marie Deutsch the Hip-Hip kit is part of the additional instruments that you can download from Apple. click on "Garageband" in the menu, then select "download more sounds"
+Lauren Marie Deutsch if you're interested I have a collection of click tracks and cues that you're free to download: drive.google.com/open?id=0BwcCYWoxFwPSX185Zms2RGVuWjA
I would guess that the board operator would turn it off. But yeah if you switch from 4/4 to 3/4 unless you had both click tracks running in-sync you couldn’t switch the inputs
Thank you! Wondering about the advantage of click track over metronome. Will google it Ok- I see- the click track sounds more realistic and doesn’t ruin the emotion of a song like a bop bop slap or a beep beep beep! Lol As a singer, I Would rather buy the click track from you guys if I can find something great in the Mid East genre. ehomerecordingstudio.com/click-track/

Sometimes it’s fun to practice to a click that speeds up or slows down to simulate the push and pull of a live band

Hell yes! Thank you very much!
THANK YOU. Making a click track but I am not a drummer hahaha
why dont you just make it loop
omg thank you so much!!
My garage band doesn't have the hip hop kit. What should I do?

Quick question how do you deal with tempo changes within the song?
I would guess that the board operator would turn it off. But yeah if you switch from 4/4 to 3/4 unless you had both click tracks running in-sync you couldn’t switch the inputs
How do you open up the keyboard?
Command+K or under the "Window" menu then "Show Musical Typing"
Thanks for the video. Just curious if there is a reason you copied/pasted instead of just looping the first measure?
I need help
wait you have to create a click track?????????
You hit that button so hard why?
