  • Hey guys thanks so much for listening. This is my first video about my time at Mercy Multiplied and how I ended up there. I made this spontaneously so it might not be the best quality but I tried. Let me know what you think. Remember to be kind, for you don't know if someone is carrying a heavy burden.
Mercy Multiplied abuses the people in its care. please do not support this place.

Ii love that you shared this. I’m a Mercy Survivor and former staff. The Nashville Scene article shares my story. My name was Jennifer Wynne. I changed it to India.
I was a girl in the Louisiana home to run away from the Latin Kings gang that I was in. Nancy became like a mom to me. I worked at the Nashville home. I lived with her, and then I came out as gay. I’m the person who used to help cover up her intimate relationship with Lisa underwood.
I was always on tour with point of grace to raise money for the home.
Once I couldn’t take being a hypocrite about my sexuality, i came out to her even though at that time I still thought I was gonna burn in hell. I tried to resign.
She wouldn’t let me. Then she showed up at a point of grace concert with Lisa & Sherry Douglas and fired me. I was put in conversion therapy after that in Dallas.
It took ten years for me to speak out, and to this day she has never attacked me or let my name come out her mouth, because she knows everything I’ve spoken on is true. You want the tea?! I got it. It breaks my heart that she is still hurting girls.

Wow, while listening to your experience I couldn’t help but compare that place to a prison. The restrictions and the almost cult like thinking that “only they had the power to heal you”, sounds terrible and I know I shouldn’t be surprised for I know the Christian world all too well but, It still just shocks me to hear about places like this still being active and all their antiquated ideals still being pushed down peoples throats. You really are so brave for what you’ve been through, Thank you for sharing this will the world 💛

I've been to programs where people are court mandated to be there, and no other program has ever been restricted like MM. You could always watch TV, listen to the radio, call your family, read a book, etc as long as it wasn't group time. MM painted itself as a safe haven but you said it best. A prison. I wanted to believe I could be better through faith alone but you can't will yourself better. Be kind to yourself and be well.

I was in the program then worked for Nancy. She was sooo demanding I was terrier if I couldn’t find her favorite pen for a book signing.

Hello dear!!!... thanks for sharing your story here!... I just wish more girls and women had your courage to talk about their "experiences " inside "Mercy Multiplied ", cause all this só called "therapeutic places " should go on a Serious Investigation from the Government!!!... just the fact that "they" don't have professional & certified Staff to work with Real People, they went through Real Traumas!!!... receive a huge hug from Portugal 🇵🇹... I wish you Peace and Stay Strong!!!...🤗😘

Funny, I was at Covenant Ministries ( name before Mercy) from August 19th 1985 to October 1st 1987. Nancy lived in the house back then. I was very confused when I left.
I had dinner with Nancy Alcorn around 2008 who told me they now had qualified doctors and therapist on staff. She also told me they did not take medications away anymore. She had to take antidepressants after her father passed so she understood the need for them (He was a nice man). I believed her until the stuff came out about the Australian Mercy Homes. I’ve cut all contact since. I pray no one is put through what I experienced and everything I saw there.

Thank you very much for telling your story after having come out the other side of such a damaging situation/program. You are an impressive person for being where you are putting this out there for others to hear.

I remember when I was at the CA home. I have so many memories I try not to think about it.
When I left mercy I left worse than I was went I got there. Also did you know that the CA home is actually considered a group home under CA Law. Interesting I know right.

I also try to not to think about my time there. Too distressing for me. I had no idea under CA law it is considered to be a group home and not a mental health treatment center. Thanks for the info. Best of luck to you!
