    Thank you for the objective assessment of your experience. You are a beautiful lady and It sounds like God has a great plan for your life and you will be a blessing to so many people who desperately need what you have. Please pray for my daughter Abby.

    Wow! I just graduated the Mercy Sacramento home like a week ago and I just stumbled upon this video while looking for something else..
    There were several girls that had gotten discharged or chose to leave for various reasons during my 9 months there. Each time was so concerning because it’s like, you don’t know what they’re going back to and how they’re going to get healing and if they’ll keep seeking God. It’s so encouraging to know that you continued your healing journey even after Mercy! Thank you so much for sharing ❤️

      @lavendar hi! There isn't a single program in the world that can "fix" you. But there are many to get you going on your healing journey. Mercy is somewhere I DEFINITELY recommend, but you have to go into any healing process knowing we won't be perfect on this side of heaven. But you are not alone and I am excited for your journey

    Hello I went to Mercy Multiplied (Ministries). It has been ten years this summer since I graduated from the Lincoln, CA home. I was part of the first 40 girls to move in that house. Thanks for sharing your story. I’m glad you found your healing! Blessing sister :)

    Teresa, thanks for sharing. I was kicked out of Mercy and I know Mercy caused me truama. I do not think that this program helps girls at all. You're brave to share because of how they restrict negative info about them. But I'm glad that the program helped you. I remember you from the program and I'm glad you're doing better. Love Erin

      I think it's not meant for everyone. And it works for some and not others. I didn't think it worked for me until I left and I realized how much it helped me. We all have food and bad stories. I'm sorry your experience was so difficult. I'm very thankful, even though I didn't finish.

      @@Teresaanne Right on the dot. Clearly Mercy was not for me and the rhetoric of "if anyone can fix you we can" can be damaging to the psyche. Some people need more than Mercy.

      Ii love that you shared this. I’m a Mercy Survivor and former staff. The Nashville Scene article shares my story. My name was Jennifer Wynne. I changed it to India.
      I was a girl in the Louisiana home to run away from the Latin Kings gang that I was in. Nancy became like a mom to me. I worked at the Nashville home. I lived with her, and then I came out as gay. I’m the person who used to help cover up her intimate relationship with Lisa underwood.
      I was always on tour with point of grace to raise money for the home.
      Once I couldn’t take being a hypocrite about my sexuality, i came out to her even though at that time I still thought I was gonna burn in hell. I tried to resign.
      She wouldn’t let me. Then she showed up at a point of grace concert with Lisa & Sherry Douglas and fired me. I was put in conversion therapy after that in Dallas.
      It took ten years for me to speak out, and to this day she has never attacked me or let my name come out her mouth, because she knows everything I’ve spoken on is true. You want the tea?! I got it. It breaks my heart that she is still hurting girls.

      Man. I would love to chat with you more. Now that I'm as far out as I am from Mercy, I see a lot of issues. BUT I also made some beautiful friendships and connections. It's where I made my life flip, even though I didn't graduate. But it also was really hard. I know it has major faults and I've heard a lot of stories because of this video. But I also had some phenomenal staff and made super close friends. So it's really hard for me to say it wasn't good because it had aspects I needed.

    Thank you for sharing your story. I thought of going to mercy a few years ago because of abuse stuff but I began thinking about how only so many were accepted at a time and thinking about how many people who have had horrible things happen to them and nobody to reach out to for help so I decided not to apply because I didn't want somebody who needed help more than me to slip through the cracks. After hearing your story I realize I would have probably also tried helping others more than myself too because that's basically what I do anyways. I don't like digging into my own trauma I feel like I heal more by using what happened to me as a way to help others and honestly it probably just bandages my trauma for later but its what I do lol

    • @Teresaanne
      @Teresaanne  4 года назад +1

      See. That's part of what Mercy does. It shows you that you matter too. Because what you just told me is that your trauma isn't as bad as someone else's. You can't compare because that's not fair to you. And you get accepted if they believe you need it. And the timeline is dependent on where you need to go. They make those choices based off your information and a lot of prayer. You can still apply

      @@Teresaanne wow, thank you! That was amazing. It just spoke to me because when I've experienced one of my panic attacks around some friends before and they were worried about me so I opened up to them about why. A couple of them were like we have never had to go through something like that and the things I've faced that seemed so horrible to me were nothing compared to that and I told them that each persons trauma is just as bad to them as others are to them because its still the worst they have had to face. I always tell my friends not to compare because it lessens their victories and therefore lessens their inner warrior who has conquered those victories. It was refreshing to basically get my own advice turned back towards me 😂 thank you for reminding me lol

    if you have some sort of mental health or any type of insurance, treatment centers can verify it for you and see if that accept it. If they do, they may cover half or cover all of your treatment. So you do have options

    • @Teresaanne
      @Teresaanne  4 года назад

      I didn't have options at the time. But I went through a program that was free and amazing. 😊

      My insurance wouldn't cover anything. I tried a lot of options. It was really hard. But then j found Mercy!
