    Measha you are the only one that can be in a bad situation and tell the story and have a person 🧍🏾 crying 😭 and laughing 😂 I am sorry 😢 about your family and you going through rough patches. I was looking 👀 for you on Friday after the show went off. Instead I got Christal Jordan with Scorpio ♏️ Moe I listened to their review but I figured I am waiting on you. I am sorry I hate the news 📰 but I am going to keep up this time. I thought 💭 you were on vacation so when you came on and said you had been under a hurricane 🌀 attack. I was devastated. If this happens again I will be prepared. I will start looking 👀 at your old videos. ❤️❤️❤️🩷🩷🩷

    I’m glad you and your son are safe!!!!! This was crazzzzyyyyyy. My power was out 7 days.. everything you said was true… there were kids outside riding their bikes .. adults walking around like nothing happened!!!! No phone service.. I had to drive to public parking lots like target or Office Depot, just to get service and take naps in my car. I’ve been here for about three years and I am currently looking to move to a different state. I can’t BELIEVE Texas legislation has not put things in place to prepare for situations like this!!!! And blaming center point for not working fast enough.. when they just work there!!! I heard that the mayor/government had the chance to update the power structure and denied it to not spend money!!!! Businesses including hotels were price gouging and a lot of hotels didn’t even have power and didn’t have access to refund for the reservations!!! A lot of businesses were price gouging!!!! I also seen that they(the powers that be) weren’t trying to pay center point for over time as well as other electric companies from other states they weren’t trying to compensate for their stay or for their help. YOU SEEM TO BE THE ONLY HOUSTONIAN THATS NOT ON THAT HOUSTON STRONG BUT IS SAYING THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!! Sending prayers to you and again glad you all are safe!!

    I hate that these climate disasters are just going to become more and more common, especially in southern areas. And often it’s people with limited funds and resources who are hit the hardest. Meanwhile the people in power flying out and avoiding these things entirely while not preparing the people or providing resources for us to be ok!! I don’t have money to give rn but I’ll definitely be catching up with you videos and I’m glad you and your loved ones are safe!

    My son decided to go to my mom’s after church last Sunday so I wasn’t thinking too much into it. I’m glad he was with her! She lives in an area that’s prone to flooding no matter how you try to get to her house so that wasn’t an option for me. None of my siblings had power so my boyfriend’s power came back on a little later on Monday so I went there for a few days.

  • @jenwithonen7047
    @jenwithonen7047 Месяц назад +2

    I didn't know you were out here in Houston.
    I was more than prepared with my generator and non-perishables because I've been through all the storms you just named. But they told us Beryl wasn't even comparable to the previous ones. They all lied because Beryl wrecked our power grid and nobody was prepared for those shenanigans. We went 7 days without power, and we ran our generator the whole time. We even powered all our fans, TV's and Wi-Fi just to keep us distracted from the heat and misery.
    My mom is out by Humble (Huffman) and she still doesn't have power. They haven't even given them a day/time estimate.
    But my brother never lost power, and he's in League City. He said his lights never even flickered, but his whole fence is gone. So it doesn't make any sense.
    I've been praying for all the linemen because folks are losing their minds and attacking them while they're trying to work on the power lines.
    I saw yesterday that someone poisoned them with a bottle of water laced with "Fent" SMDH!
    Glad y'all made it through the storm and everyone is OK.❤
    I'm gonna try to catch up on all your videos that I missed.😊

    I’m in Maryland so the weather tends to be pretty tame. However, we had a tornado last month. Further down and further up have more serious hurricanes/tropical storms. It’s absolutely disgusting that FEMA can deny people. I know this was an ordeal but I’m happy you and your family are safe. If I were to move to a place with strong storms and I heard CAT 1 I would’ve stayed home too. I would’ve been in big trouble 😂. They definitely should’ve declared state of emergency.

    I've been through a Cat 3 hurricane, and I know you were stressed to the MAX. Im glad youre okay! This is the perfect example of how who we vote for from local to state to federal elections creates policy that impacts your everyday life. The way that these hard-headed officials continue to mishandle Texans when in a state of emergency is completely unacceptable. Remember their disregard for how they manage emergencies at the ballot box this November.

    Measha I felt every bit of this. Still praying for all. I have family in Houston, including a cousin who just had a baby. You are a great storyteller! I know you can chuckle about some things, after the fact, but going through it is a whole different ordeal. I know that stress and anxiety (Floridian). We've had to throw out food from multiple freezers, and we know meatn (or damn groceries in general) ain't cheap. My husband be on it, when it comes to preparedness or evacuation, but even he gets bad anxiety when we go through a Hurricane. He hasn't been the same since he went through Andrew years ago. We all be ready to kill each other. Then add a teen, no power, thus no a/c and no wifi to the mix! And the dog! Chile,,,,And even if we do evacuate staying with someone for multiple days be a mess too! This is the one thing I dread about June-November is hurricane season and this weather been getting worse and worse every year.
