This revival of GUTS came out around the time of the Gen IV Pokemon games, Diamond, Pearl and Platinum.

Dang, whish I knew about this 1. I’d only watched up to Global, same when Double Dare 2000 came around I think I vaguely heard about it. Nickelodeon should revive all of their game shows. I know Legends of the Hidden Temple is coming back but different, kind of.
The Aggro Crag became the Mega Crag(the contestants' colors vanished), the Mega Crag evolved into the Super Aggro Crag(colors regained), and now... the Super Aggro Crag has been transcended into the Giga Crag. The tallest, rockiest of all the crags in guts history. As this is the reboot, THIS crag is colored neither blue, red, nor violet. No Mike, no Mo. This GUTS is lame, pathetic; a heap of garbage, even. This is not the kind of Guts everyone liked!
Nickelodeon Guts season 1 2 3 full episodes
So, this is supposed to Guts meets Double Dare, but without the fun and no slime. Give me 90's Nick any day.

Not entirely. The episodes used 2 stages that were not part of Nickelodeon Studios (general contests in Stage 23 and the Aggro Crag in Stage 24).
There was some screening and behind the scenes work done in one of the stages that was a part of Nickelodeon Studios.
GUTS and Legends of the Hidden Temple used Stage 21, (also not a part of Nickelodeon Studios) but that facility is used by TNA Wrestling so it was not available.

I did and this was well after I stopped watching Nickelodeon.
Ever since Rugrats was done in 2004 I did not care about Nickelodeon anymore.
I saw one full episode of this. I was not impressed. These guys will never be Mike O'Malley and Moira 'Mo' Quirk even if this was the #1 show in the country.
It kind of looks like another Double Dare but with Guts.

What they should’ve done is had the Mega Crag for the Semi Finals and the Super Aggro Crag for the Aggro Bowl

IMO, this was one of those shows where that family theme just didn't work
While this incarnation won't hold a torch to the original series, however, it was a great way of introducing a different format.
If there is one thing this show did right, it is the main theme. An amazing rockin' remix... literally! Some of the events were kinda cool too
Mike 'O Malley this host is not. And Mo this referee is not as well, complete with trying-too-hard-to-be-Mo accent.
If this show comes back to Nickelodeon someday in the near future, GUTS would return to its original format, but with Ben Lyons (who hosted My Family’s Got GUTS) as host/interviewer, Mauro Ranallo as play-by-play commentator, Kenny “Ken-Flo” Florian as color commentator, Brian Hebner as referee and Scott Graham as the off-camera announcer. In addition, the revival/reboot would be taped in front of a studio audience at Stage 28 at Paramount Studios in Hollywood and the Richard Witkowski-composed “GUTS” theme song would be re-arranged and re-recorded by Bleeding Fingers Music, the same ones who did the music for The Simpsons, The $100,000 Pyramid and Live PD (and its spin-off Live Rescue).
Wow I didn't know this existed! It's not the original, but still fun.
Cool. Now bring back Legends of the Hidden Temple.

How did they not think of a Family Guts after Global got cancelled?
Why wasn't season 2 ever aired? I used to watch the old one and thought this was a pretty good revival.

Not as good as the original GUTS of course, but was still good & was "BY FAR" the best thing I saw air on Nick in many years. Too bad it got cancelled so quickly.

hey I remember I watch that when I was 8 or 9!! but what happen to nickelodeon studios they build 25 years ago. 10 years nickelodeon studios is no longer. I believe I want nickelodeon studios return and nickelodeon gas return 2016
i think i was 7 in 2008 but i did this at home and begged my mom to let me do this!!!
This would have been great if they hadn't made it a family thing, and had just had the kids competing like in the original. Kids don't want to watch Guts with a bunch of old people, they want to watch other kids. There's a reason the original was so successful and this wasn't.

Asha makes a good replacement for Mo, but Ben just tries WAAAY too hard to be Mike, and he just can't. I do like the theme, but......oh god.

I will be honest. The Titan Games brought my memories back with the OG Guts and Global Guts.
About time reality brought back my childhood. The Titan Games saved NBC. Thanks Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. That is a competition.
The Difference Between Guts/Global Guts and The Titan Games is two different reasons.
1. The contestants is kids/young teens 11-14 for Guts/Global Guts.
The contestants is adults on The Titan Games.
2. Guts and The Titan Games are both sports competitions but one was much 100x tougher, 100x faster, 100x stronger 100x times smarter and 100x more painful.
Don't get me wrong though. Guts wasn't always easy.. The Agro Crag is actually a challenge. But Mt. Olympus is much harder and you have to work your way to get there in order to beat the other competitor that is trying to get where you want to go.
About time Dwayne Johnson did something that was watchable. He did good in Central Intelligence but ruined Fast and Furious.
As for Titan Games, this is a big hit that he did and saved NBC. Well Done former WWF/WWE Wrestler.

The trophy would have looked a LOT better without that silly logo plastered on it. Why not put it on the base? I grew up with the first Guts....this one seems ....alright. Just not as good.
During Global GUTS, the logo was moved to the face of the trophy.

The show rocks, but I hate the remake of the theme song and Ben Lyons voice doesn't suit the show.
this show made a great comeback but it soon went away... i wonder why nick took it off. bad move. i want to see more seasons. brainsurge just isn't cutting it.

This was trash no wonder it wasn’t successful. You in 2008 still making it look like the 90’s version and it wasn’t entertaining. Don’t get me started on that lame obstacle course. What even was that? Like Nickelodeon was you even trying.
