nice fly thats pretty much how i tie them. lets see you tie a murdich minnow. such a great fly with great action. works great in fresh & salt down here in the 305/954 areas.
I used to see a fly that was made with flashy gold or silver tubing with a tailing feather and sometimes a feather on top. I don't see them much anymore. How about tying one?
How would you typically fish this pattern? I don't have a ton of experience fishing bead chain eye flys but I imagine they would need an intermediate or sinking line?
This fly was invented by Pete Squibb, President of the Sanibel Fly Fishers in Sanibel, Florida. It's a great fly, thanks for posting a tying recipe.
Thanks for watching!
People underestimate this and the schminnow. I have crushed reds, trout, etc. with these simple patterns. Especially over dock lights. Great job!
Fantastic dock light pattern, for sure!
I like the way you made the tail stand up. I’ve got to try this. Thanks for the share.

Like that loon uv at the base of the flash blend trick. Thanks for sharing that!
What is the tail material that you posted up?
SF Blend - White
Yep it’s a swimmino with a bad hair day 😄👍🏼
Great fly. I would love to see a great carp fly. Because the predator season is now almost closed in the Netherlands.
Two okie done. Lol
What material are you using ????
Thanks for sharing. Would love to see any of your favorite trout stream flies. 3 okie dokes.
Great looking fly and do you have any suggestions on any reasonably priced fly tying starter kits around and how about a morningwood special thanks.
What material ?
does this fly flip with the bead chain or ride hook point down?
I would like to see a fly pattern like a mangrove snapper.

Depends on where you are fishing. Under a dock light, a line with an intermediate clear tip is a solid choice.
