Hey I don't know if you figured out the steering endpoint thing. Agree it isn't the most intuitive, but.... If you hold the streering dial to the extreme, say left, then you can see the effect of the corresponding endpoint adjustment happens in real time which is of course a massive improvement. The other endpoints also do real-time, I used the two position channel to set my scx10.iii dig. (mapped to E button).
Speaking of looking for something, I seen something on another channel that might interest you for testing purposes. "Torque test channel" did a power test on angle grinders the other day, which was basically a dyno for electric motors, with an electric motor! You should check it out just to see if you get any ideas from it.
Before setting the end points you have to look at the steering numbers on the main display. Record the number when you have found the final point where your steering wheel does not move even though the steering wheel on the transmitter still has travel. Mark that number and enter the percentage in the end point menu in steering settings.
I've kind of gotten used to it, as the CT01 is not unique in being a cheaper radio with that peculiar sort of endpoint adjustment. It's just tough going from a fleet of radios that are fast and simple to adjust in real-time, while for this one you need to take notes.
For those who looking for a remote others than dumborc this ldarc ct01 is the best because for us who playing crawler its just perfect. Im using 2200mah battery and its last for a week . Seriously dude its good .
It looks like a nice radio for long (or multi-day) trail driving. the fact that its light and small make it easy to pack and carry, its charged via a usb meaning you dont need to fumble with spare AA's, it is cheap and doesnt have too poking knobs that can break easily, voltage telemetry is nice on the trails and it have enough channels for for any crawler setup. if only it had cruise control... Too bad the screen is so small.
g7p has a user and home here, better then rusting away :) SV1 i am guessing it is you can set the ROLLER as a option, which leaves it as a potentiometer
Surprisingly, they even provide firmware updates release notes. There are some good change there. in beta, 4lvl of key tone, sw-v1 value for gyro sensitivity and 10lvl of this value
sir. I have a question.. Let me ask you a question. Can this transmitter is set the Switch D or E with a throttle lock or cruise feature? It's a necessary feature for me to enjoy a long drive while walking.
The EPA adjustment is kind of a pain. What I figured out to do was use the wheel to find the desired end point numbers, then set the end points to those numbers. Kinda clunky, but who changes end points after initial set-up?
Is the momentary switch on this transmitter similar to that on the spektrum dx5c i.e. 3 position momentary switch? If it will be great for winching in and out with the momentary switch then I may pick one up for my budget builds
Switches A, B, and C are 3-position, non-momentary. Switch D is 2-position, non-momentary, and Switch E is 2-position, momentary. The switches can be assigned to any channel, but to my knowledge the switches are not configurable-- like how Radiolink can change (some) switch behavior from momentary to on-off.
I think you're being over dramatic about the screen size. 😂 I have this radio, I'm 47 with bad vision and a outdated prescription and I can read it just fine.
Can you read it "on the fly?" And if you say yes, I'm calling pants-on-fire. I can glance at the display on an RC4GS and see what I need to know. The CT01 requires direct focus. Try to tell me that screen isn't the size of a postage stamp.
@@CrawlerCanyon it's small, yeah, but I find it easy to read. Granted, I don't ever look at my transmitter while I'm driving. If it's a crawler, a tank, a buggy, doesn't matter. My hands KNOW the remote, it knows what does what and they control the vehicle. I only look at the transmitter when doing setup. I didn't realize some people take their eyes off their vehicle to make adjustment settings while they're driving.
Oh, the Dumbo is way more capable. I just could not get around the ergonomics. The CT01 is a nice little inexpensive radio, but it doesn't have 1/8th the features of the 350. Honestly, if you need more than say 4 channels, look at something other than the CT01. Trail rig with a 2-speed and lighting? CT01 is excellent.
@CrawlerCanyon I only have some 2 speed wpl crawlers and a mn78 so far I don't need anything too fancy but I guess you get what you pay for and can't hurt to get something a little nicer thanks man
@@MX-CO for racing, latency definitely becomes a deciding factor. For going fast, I'd seriously recommend something like a Radiomaster MT-12, FlySky Noble NB4, etc. My go-to has always been Sanwa, but they are... not cheap.
To my knowledge, the CT01 doesn't have mixing. It supports tank (tracked) steering, but not configurable mixing. I feel like mixing is asking a lot of a $35 radio.
Also it comes from banggood with mandarin as default language, so consider yourself double lucky 😅 Luckily donaldsneffe channel did a comprehensive review earlier and he figured out most of the stuff
It is a weird little radio. Though now I wanna see that 8-channel 24th scale. RX is a little big for a micro as well. A buddy of mine tried it and said “the size of this handle is perfect, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Pfff. Normal handed people.
I gotta say the single cell rechargeable battery is a nice feature more cheap radios should have.
I agree 100 percent!😊
Not just cheap radios. In-unit rechargeable + removable should be a feature of every new radio AFAIC.

Cool review! Been looking into the g7p and other options. Giveaway would be cool!

@@CrawlerCanyon Yes, this is not the best transmitter, but it is the best transmitter in its class (price range)

I got mine from banggood and they sell all of their units without manual whatsoever. Consider yourself lucky 😊
LED screen size alone makes it a NO GO for this blink old man. Appreciate the exercise in frustration you’re willing to endure. 🤣

Gyro sensitivity? It's got a gyro?
Also they made a micro, 4 channel receiver for this radio, but im not sure if its in retail already.
Happy Saturday Mr Canyon 😎😎😎😎

lovely Canyon and good for the summer however it could have been designed more playful for two. I have better fun with playmates
I have no idea what this means, but I'm in soon enough to ask. What could have been better designed for two? What am I missing?
The EPA adjustment is kind of a pain. What I figured out to do was use the wheel to find the desired end point numbers, then set the end points to those numbers. Kinda clunky, but who changes end points after initial set-up?
Some loon that is constantly changing everything all the time for no reason? Not that I know anyone like that.
@@CrawlerCanyon 😂😅
Getting tennis elbow from cranking that wheel. 😂😂
Definitely Deceptacon looking

I still love my radiolink. Awesome review tho.
I’m certainly not changing any of my Radiolinks for one of these, But a buddy of mine already bought a CT01, sold by the light-up buttons.
On Amazon it says it has a gyro? I never saw that part, any ideas?
We wouldn't want that, so I didn't look into it any further. I'm just thankful that anyone NOT named Spektrum has the gyro disabled by default.
What would you recommend between this or the Dumbo DDF350 10ch
