  • This is part-5 of Interaction/Contact errors in Abaqus. "Too many attempts made for this increment" is one of the most common error in Abaqus interactions. Let's understand.
In the previous video, I explained all about the contact Overclosure issue. In this video, I talked on -
    1. Under Constraint part in the assembly.
    2. how it diverges solution.
    3. Remedies.

Thank You Sir, although I had no interactions in my model but still i watched your video till end and applying proper contraints solved my problem i was facing since 2 weeks, thank alot sir.

      Dear,
I suggest to go through all Abaqus videos. You will find many interesting points.

Thank you very much for the video.
    1. Is it possible to view the failure of part in Abaqus? (In above example, with bolt- At what load will the joint break?)
    2. Please make a video about post processing in Abaqus (stress - strain graphs, displacement graphs etc).

      Dear,
      1. If you are interested in fracture of components (here plate & bolt), you need to utilise XFEM technique.
      2. Dear it generally as per requirement i explained post-processing things in regular videos.
If you have any doubt you can take help from Abaqus Documentation or you can ask question to me.

Sir, do we have to give "tie constraint" for connecting bolt and plate?

      Dear,
It depends if movement between them is very less you can use... otherwise use contact instead of tie.

A problem that has been bothering me for a long time is how to achieve convergence when the master and slave mesh are not particularly good? Enabling automatic stabilization also seems to fail to converge

      Dear,
Mesh on both surface should match as possible. However it depends on many more parameters, like difference in size, tolerance specified, constraints type etc.

    Thank you for your video!
The results between no adjust option and adjust only to remove overclosure are different or not?

    • @simtech0598

It depends on the nodal adjustment value. Sometimes changes are huge...but most of time almost negligible diffrence.

create video about rcc circular column with two end pined and applied load on top

      Dear,
I upload video on FE concepts not on perticular problem based.
However, If you are facing any problem I'll try to guide you.

Thank you. Very much sir my problem is too many attempts with general static when i edit step and put vale of 0.0005 for minimum it becomes o.o5 automatically not. Changed , minimum vale not changed how can change it and not return to original. Value when i close window
