I honestly hated the magic circles. It was so out of place since it wasn’t actually animated by hand. I was glad when they disappeared tbh.

I'll be honest. I don't see people really talking about this much, so I don't think they really appreciate how tragic this is.
Natsu and Zeref, the Dragneel brothers, were the ones that set events into motion that turned the Fairy Tail world into what it is, for better and worse. But they suffered because of it.
Natsu became the most powerful demon E.N.D. after his life was taken by a dragon of all things, and Zeref ended up becoming the Black Wizard of legend when he really wasn't all that harmful, at least not that much initially. The only things the brothers weren't responsible for was the Dragon King Festival and Acnologia, which played a part in how they came to be.
We all know what happened to Zeref and how much he suffered, but I don't think people really consider how badly this could've affected Natsu if Fairy Tail was a darker show. He's arguably the true catalyst behind almost everything that happened in Fairy Tail, beside the dragon(s) that killed him. I don't think he would handle how so many lives were lost and ruined inadvertently because he died if the show really set in stone how dire everything was to him. In a twisted way, Zeref and Natsu both created a Fairy Tale, literally and figuratively.

I could not agree more. This song is one of the best ending songs I've personally ever heard and now I'm listening to the band after seeing this ending, Black Clover's third ending (also brilliant), and the High School Rise Invasion opening (brilliant as well). EMPiRE is now one of my favorite bands for sure.

I feel like they should have saved this as the final ending and used Mavis instead of Natsu to show the contrast between Alvarez and Fairy Tail guilds and also Zeref's and Mavis relationship in an effort to reunite them in the final scene

I’m so happy they brought back Fairy Tail for the final season. This is the one anime that I feel like deserves closure
In the beginning. Anyone else notice how fairy tail's symbol moves shorter steps but faster. While "Zeref" symbol is always moving longer steps but slower. Making it an illusion of what ever happens at the beginning to end of the ep. Whether fairytail was on top that time or zeref was. It makes it seem like either fairy tail is catching up to these OP characters when they win in the ep. Or that zeref is always one step ahead when fairy tail loses that ep. But them always being on the opposite sides of each other, being the ultimate battle of losses and wins.
i used to think Alvarez was moving faster and catching up but now i see that they're equal. I definitely noticed the illusion
