What I appreciate about Lisa and her tutorials is that she captures the essence of the look, without trying to make the model look like the inspiration's copy cat, if that makes sense. This model, although pretty, does not look like Liz Taylor, yet when the whole makeup is done, even before the wig, I can see Liz Taylor emerging: the brows, the shape of the mouth, the winged-yet-wide open eyes. Had the brow been a bit thinner or rounder, or more angular, or the eyes a bit more elongated, too "flicked," it won't resemble Liz anymore. Absolutely brilliant!! Really enjoyed watching this.
+Le Genou de Claire Yes, it's "Liz Taylor inspired" rather than just a straight-up costumey look. She still looks like herself, but if asked which movie star she most resembles you'd say Liz Taylor.
K...I got a bit effy when she was thickening those brows more and more....and once that wig was on...omg I was blown away. Such blasphemy for me to ever doubt Lisa! Just amazing...not only did she go from blonde to brunette...she went from a modern gal to a whole new era altogether.
+RED REBEL hahahahaha about the blasphemy, I was thinking the same thing, uh oh Lisa this looks rather odd, and then kapow, she shut us all up with her wizardry!
+MADEbySOUL She could pull it off, but would have to adjust for the fact that her natural hair is thinner and straighter than the wig so it would not be an exact translation. She could fix that with extensions/growing her hair out/hair volumizing products and tricks (that are not too damaging), and obviously the makeup to go along with it, but that is a decent amount of required maintenance.
my brows are a lot like Elizabeth Taylor's eyebrows. not quite as dark but the same shape naturally and I remember the first time I saw a photo of her as a little girl and being so excited that when everyone around me had those pencil thin 90s brows this woman who was regarded as a true iconic beauty had brows like mine! beautiful look here, you captured her essence wonderfully!
+Lisa Eldridge I'm not saying that you do it, but I wonder why so many makeup artists never blend the light shade in the inner corner of the eye? I've seen sooooo many videos here on YT where they use 5 min to blend everything else but they never blend the inner corner of the eye. Doesn't it look better if EVERYTHING is blended well..?
A another great tutorial, Lisa. I love Elizabeth Taylor, she was a beautiful woman inside and out. It's a shame her beauty on outside is more known than her beauty of kindness and generosity. I hope to see more Old Hollywood looks in the future!
...I am absolutely blown away, this may be my favorite makeup tutorial I have ever seen! Lisa, you gave Liz Taylor every bit of dignity here, beautifully well done!
Such an incredible transformation! Maybe even one of my favourites from all the looks you re-created. Now I'd be even more intrigued to see you do a take on Edie Sedgwick's make-up, that'd absolutely make my day
Oh wow this is what I'd call a makeup transformation, and it looks so natural! I absolutely love it, and I think she really resembled Elizabeth Taylor at the end. Great job Lisa, you have inspired and taught me so much about makeup and beauty - Thank you! xx
I loved Liz Taylor! She was one of my idols. It's wonderful to see this reincarnation of Liz from the 1950's. I have always thought that she was the most beautiful in the 1960's when she would have been in her 30's. I would love to see a look recreating 1960's Liz! I have to say that you got her brows down perfectly! It's amazing what the right makeup and a wig can do to make this young woman look like a young Liz. Thanks!
Oh my that hair! It is facinating to see Angelo working "normal" hair and of course as you can see he knows how to dress it perfectly. Always inspiring! Also the makeup is gorgeus too!
Such a cool idea to use a model that looks like a complete contrast to Elizabeth Taylor and then transform her to look nearly the same. You're already legendary, Lisa!
Wow. Lisa, you are amazing. Truly. I am in awe of your talent. You and Kevyn Aucoin are my favorite makeup artists of all time. Period. Liz missed out ;)
Lisa you are such an artist!!! Thru your words I can really see how much you admire Elizabeth Taylor your enthusiasm and passion talking about her is really enchanting!!! And now I feel the same way about you! You are not queen you are the makeup goddess!!! 👏🏻👍🏻
This was amazing Lisa! I always look forward to your videos because you are informative about the history and you aren't overbearing or too talkative even though you are a complete expert on makeup! Your tutorials are always done so fabulously and the end results are looks that one could actually wear everyday without looking like they're playing dress up. In the future, you should attempt Twiggy, the model. She has such an interesting 60s look but I'm sure you could give us some great tips on how to perfect her bold eyeliner and lash techniques :)
I adore you Lisa! Watching videos makes me feel like I should be enrolled in beauty school so that I can get connected with professionals and hopefully get introduced to you someday! I'm a very small-town girl who loves experimenting and applying makeup on others. I just haven't found the courage to bring myself up to the level of making it a profession because of the tough competition in the beauty industry. Your graceful and positive demeanor is unlike anything I've ever seen in the beauty community. Thank you sharing your knowledge and experience with us. You're truly fantastic with your strategy and artistry.
please do another marilyn monroe! I loved the one you've done, but this model would've Def looked more like her! with the dark brows, looks like marilyn circa 1962
WOW. I saw the thumbnail for this and could not believe the transformation. I too LOVE the vintage screen sirens of yore. This was so up my alley. And, this would double as beautiful holiday party makeup - minus the strong brow. But to each their own. Thank you, Lisa!
Beautiful - stunning! Model was gorgeous to begin with and you totally transformed her to Liz. When I was a child, my mother (also from England) was always given double looks as she looks like Liz, especially the eyes and eyebrows.
Absolutely fabulous! The eyebrows are perfect! It's surprising how straight forward and easy it is to create Elizabeth Taylor's iconic look. There really wasn't much makeup used to achieve this look. Fantastic! Can't wait to try it on myself! Though I can assure you, I'm no Elizabeth Taylor!😃😃💄💄💎💎
Lisa, I've read your book two times over already and I have a feeling I'll be reading it a thousand times more. You are a brilliant artist. I'd give anything to have my makeup done by you someday. ❤️
The make-up is amazing but it's just missing one thing. Elizabeth Taylor was known for her brilliant violet eyes. You should have made the model wear violet contacts, that would have completed the look. Also, she looked better as a brunette, her blonde hair was washing her out.
She was my Idol growing up as a child and teen and I even resembled her a lot then I had the eyes and features and hair, 🥰 I so loved her, God Bless Liz Forever!!! ❤️🥰🤩🦋
I always love hearing your stories about your earlier years of doing makeup! I'm there right now and I would love and be ever grateful to hear your thoughts and advice on creative shoots (intensity vs lighting, how to nail on symmetry, how much time to give yourself on the makeup chair, some key application tips for up close photography, style advice for fashion vs tests vs beauty shoots etc) I still find myself at times confused and it's so hard to find content about this online. Lisa help! :)
Your understanding of makeup techniques per decade is remarkable Lisa. Thank you for a lovely video tutorial based on such an amazing beauty icon. I always learn so much! Xx
Thank you so much for doing this; I've wanted you to do an Elizabeth Taylor tutorial for ever - she is hands down the most beautiful woman of all time for me, a true icon xx
I've always thought Elizabeth Taylor was one of the most beautiful women in my lifetime. She just seemed like a classically beautiful woman, full of grace, with a touch of softness. Thank you for this video, enjoyed this very much.
Stunning! This is easily one of (if not the best) most amazing makeup-only transformations I've ever seen. Clearly she is already attractive & any makeup would've just complimented her - but this really is jaw-dropping. I can't help thinking that Liz would have definitely approved 😉 Beautiful!
So so so amazing!! The fact that you connect your films with your book is so beautiful, I can grab your book and find everything in a few seconds and it just really adds to both the read and the watch! You should 100% steal me away and let me model for you some day, purely because I want you to do my makeup! Keep up with the amazing videos Lisa x
I love this video SO SO SO SO MUCH. Sometimes, when I forget why I'm a makeup artist, or if I'm feeling down about work, I watch one of your videos and it reminds me just how much I love it. Thank you so so so much! Xoxo
I have keep on looking this video for days, Lisa. it's soooo transformative. even without the wig, if she carried on with her blond hair, bold eyebrows and red lipstick. it will look so modern. amazing tutorial Lisa, once again : D
Have you done a tutorial for older women? I'm afraid that my marriage is headed for divorce. I'm not in any way afraid of being alone, it would just be nice to look good enough to be asked out for dinner (I'm talking much later after things settle down).
If I was the model, I couldn't go back to be me again ! What a transformation ! You're a true artist and a good soul Lisa love you. Greetings from Istanbul xx
What I appreciate about Lisa and her tutorials is that she captures the essence of the look, without trying to make the model look like the inspiration's copy cat, if that makes sense. OMG, she looks so classy and elegant when the whole look was complete
K...I got a bit effy when she was thickening those brows more and more....and once that wig was on...omg I was blown away. Such blasphemy for me to ever doubt Lisa! Just amazing...not only did she go from blonde to brunette...she went from a modern gal to a whole new era altogether.
absolutely! just goes to show the true artistry of both her and the wig maker.
+RED REBEL hahahahaha about the blasphemy, I was thinking the same thing, uh oh Lisa this looks rather odd, and then kapow, she shut us all up with her wizardry!
+RED REBEL haha yes makeup is often like that, theres always a 'moment' before it all comes together! X
Omg what a stunning model and makeup look. The transformation was absolutely incredible!
+Laura Neuzeth You already have this look down!
BooRadleyTube 😄 I always get told that I look like someone from the 1940's or 50's.
By the way, you nailed the brows. Spot on.
+Kim Girard thank you X
+Lisa Eldridge ¡Hola lovely Lisa! If I ever win the lottery I will hire you to do my makeup for a year!!!
Agreed! Incredible
She should keep the dark hair, her features really stand out!! Beautiful!!
Only if she puts on black eyebrows and black eyelashes every day, which seems like a lot of trouble. What's wrong with her natural blond look?
If I was the model's friend I would tell her to dye her hair dark because she is such a knock out with the dark hair contrasting her eyes!
I know right!!! The moment she put the wig on...I was like "damnnnnn"!! The dark hair really compliments her eyes!
Yes! She looks so sultry.
+MADEbySOUL Agreed, as a brunette she is breathtaking!
+MADEbySOUL YES!
+MADEbySOUL She could pull it off, but would have to adjust for the fact that her natural hair is thinner and straighter than the wig so it would not be an exact translation. She could fix that with extensions/growing her hair out/hair volumizing products and tricks (that are not too damaging), and obviously the makeup to go along with it, but that is a decent amount of required maintenance.

mine! beautiful look here, you captured her essence wonderfully!
Unbelievably gorgeous!
I'm in aw of you Lisa, you truly are a phenominal artist
+Wafa Just wanted to add, what a lovely model you have
She wears the look beautifully
+Wafa A yes Laura is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for this Liz inspired look X
AMAZING! wow- I'm gonna be running around Hollywood today with my makeup done just like Elizabeth Taylor today haha I can't help myself- so so good!
I love the depth of the brow- I am going to add a few of those tricks for sure!
+KelseyFarese the brows have that "come hether" look about them
RED REBEL they SO do! Everyone should have that trick up their sleeve...or up their eyebrow arch haha
I have a feeling Im gonna end up lookin like a bushman the next few days but I too am inspired!
RED REBEL haha it's so worth it! I'm gonna look like I've been living in my parents basement for the past 20 years but Glam as hell! hahah
That model would be a great canvas for a Marilyn Monroe look. 💋
This is the true story of the power of makeup! What a transformation! I love it!
The way you go about putting on makeup always looks so gentle. I love it!
Incredible transformation. I'd never wash my face. This is my favorite style of makeup
Lisa, you gave Liz Taylor every bit of dignity here, beautifully well done!

the brows are unbeliveable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are gorgeous
This look is so perfect it fucking hurts
I love that you are telling us so much, about yourself, about your thoughts on the subject, history, etc.
I feel like that woman became more elegant in her actions after the makeup too, I would probably talk softer after that.
Laura is really naturally pretty and she makes an amazing looking Hollywood icon. I'd love to see her in natural makeup!
One of your best ever, Lisa. Absolutely amazing and the model was perfect for Liz Taylor - not to mention those fabulous earrings!
Lisa always looks so fresh and awake and beautiful she's truly just beautiful
I loved Liz Taylor! She was one of my idols. It's wonderful to see this reincarnation of Liz from the 1950's. I have always thought that she was the most beautiful in the 1960's when she would have been in her 30's. I would love to see a look recreating 1960's Liz! Now THAT is a makeover.
Oh my that hair!
It is facinating to see Angelo working "normal" hair and of course as you can see he knows how to dress it perfectly. Always inspiring!
Also the makeup is gorgeus too!
this look still baffles me!!!! this is such true talent!!! you are the ultimate, lisa!!!! the ultimate!!!!
I would like to call that Black magic......
You are a witch!
Such a cool idea to use a model that looks like a complete contrast to Elizabeth Taylor and then transform her to look nearly the same. You're already legendary, Lisa!
She looks so amazing with dark hair. It suits her so well!
Just watching the way your hands move on and around a face is quite amazing! This transformation was stunning.
a double set of eyelashes. I can't think of anything more naturally luxurious. lucky girl!
This was amazing Lisa! I always look forward to your videos because you are informative about the history and you aren't overbearing or too talkative even though you are a complete expert on makeup! Just by changing the hair and eyebrow color, one seems like a different person, wow❤
Wow.She looks like a completely different person. I'd never recognise her .
Just Perfection! Lisa truly is gifted at what she does 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️
please do another marilyn monroe! I loved the one you've done, but this model would've Def looked more like her! with the dark brows, looks like marilyn circa 1962
Yes she looks like Marilyn and Angelina jolie too, I want to see her again in the Tutorials 🥺
That model looks amazing in Liz's makeup!
Amazing look! You're so talented and your model is beautiful!
WOW. I saw the thumbnail for this and could not believe the transformation. I too LOVE the vintage screen sirens of yore. This was so up my alley. And, this would double as beautiful holiday party makeup - minus the strong brow. But to each their own. Thank you, Lisa!

This is the best Elizabeth Taylor make-up tutorial I have ever seen. Salute et Fabuleux!
she looks so elegant wow 😍

+Kimbee E Jessica McCormack
A real authentic makeup artist i will listen to
The ONLY makeup artist I press LIKE before I press play! You're amazing Lisa!!!! Forever my favourite makeup artist!
Lisa, I've read your book two times over already and I have a feeling I'll be reading it a thousand times more. You are a brilliant artist. I'd give anything to have my makeup done by you someday. ❤️
Anyone else back here in 2022 watching some old-school Lisa vids? 😄
The thick, arched eyebrows do it. Wonderful!
There are many make-up girls (and boys) out there , but just a few deserve the tittle of MAKE-UP ARTIST. LISA is one of them.
AMAZING!!!
omg... thank you thank you thank you! i love Liz Taylor. esp when it's done by someone as skilled and as passionate as you Lisa!
Your historical makeup videos are my absolute favorite. This is incredible!
The make-up is amazing but it's just missing one thing. Elizabeth Taylor was known for her brilliant violet eyes. You should have made the model wear violet contacts, that would have completed the look. Also, she looked better as a brunette, her blonde hair was washing her out.
Pretty sure this is a myth and her eyes were actually blue but not sure where I read or heard that...
She was my Idol growing up as a child and teen and I even resembled her a lot then I had the eyes and features and hair, 🥰 I so loved her, God Bless Liz Forever!!! ❤️🥰🤩🦋
Wow this is incredible! It's amazing how the hair color made such a huge difference.
Yes, the model looked amazing with dark hair. She shold dye hers that colour. You are an amazing artist. Loved the eyebrows.
She should really consider going with darker hair because those bold, thick brows really did wonders for her features!
I agree! She's look better with darker hair!
Lisa help! :)
I was born with 2 layers of eyelashes but they are honestly a pain!! They are always messing up my eyeliner :( x
Sophie Davidson you were born to be a star :)
That's cool
When you're born with double eyelashes, does that mean that they are long too?
Your understanding of makeup techniques per decade is remarkable Lisa. Thank you for a lovely video tutorial based on such an amazing beauty icon. I always learn so much! Xx
gorgeous😍😍😍
You never disappoint Lisa, you are truly an artist.
Oh my goossshhhhh. So so so stunning, I don't even have the words. You turned her into such a bombshell!
Thank you so much for doing this; I've wanted you to do an Elizabeth Taylor tutorial for ever - she is hands down the most beautiful woman of all time for me, a true icon xx
Incredible transformation, magic, art and science, all togheter!!!
you look like natalie portman
I've always thought Elizabeth Taylor was one of the most beautiful women in my lifetime. She just seemed like a classically beautiful woman, full of grace, with a touch of softness. Thank you for this video, enjoyed this very much.
Stunning! This is easily one of (if not the best) most amazing makeup-only transformations I've ever seen. Clearly she is already attractive & any makeup would've just complimented her - but this really is jaw-dropping. I can't help thinking that Liz would have definitely approved 😉 Beautiful!
She looks like she was making an art. Amazing !
This is amazing! You make a daunting task look so easy. The end result is really beautiful.
She looks stunning! She'd be an amazing Marilyn too ❤️
Yes, many people have said the same. I want a tutorial with her as Marilyn and also one as Angelina please🥺
Wow! Those brows made all the difference. That was amazing! You are so talented!
this reminds me of my mum...thank you Lisa.
She was a 'fifties girl' and beautiful.
Lisa, I've followed you for years. I love listening to your stories. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us x
The transformation is incredible, you did an amazing job and she is so lucky to have gotten her makeup done by you!
her voice is so soothing
So so so amazing!! The fact that you connect your films with your book is so beautiful, I can grab your book and find everything in a few seconds and it just really adds to both the read and the watch! You should 100% steal me away and let me model for you some day, purely because I want you to do my makeup! Keep up with the amazing videos Lisa x
I also admire Elizabeth Taylor. She is such an icon.
The model is rlly beautiful and dark hair suits her so much
Amazing! Loved that you used a blonde model. I went from blonde to dark brunette a year and a half ago and I live for this.
Wow! Dark hair really does look exotic doesn't it😍
I love this video SO SO SO SO MUCH. Sometimes, when I forget why I'm a makeup artist, or if I'm feeling down about work, I watch one of your videos and it reminds me just how much I love it. Thank you so so so much! Xoxo
Woah... I have to say, I was doubting you until I saw her with the dark wig, then it was perfect. You have such an eye!
She looks gorgeous! Add the last touch of "violet" eyes, and she could be a Taylor herself!
She was the most happy with Michael Jackson, thats why in his hone videos you can see her without makeup.
I have keep on looking this video for days, Lisa. it's soooo transformative. even without the wig, if she carried on with her blond hair, bold eyebrows and red lipstick. it will look so modern. amazing tutorial Lisa, once again
: D
A era when people had such class ..
Amazing transformation.. Liz Taylor what a huge star
Have you done a tutorial for older women? I'm afraid that my marriage is headed for divorce. I'm not in any way afraid of being alone, it would just be nice to look good enough to be asked out for dinner (I'm talking much later after things settle down).
I really love the natural foundation look.
If I was the model, I couldn't go back to be me again ! What a transformation ! You're a true artist and a good soul Lisa love you. Greetings from Istanbul xx
That wig is impressive, too!
Wow! She looks amazing!!!!! I would love more of these transforming videos pretty please!!!
