Man Nabu has not been treated well since Hector's time. For a being that's been around since pretty much the beginning of the universe and is essentially a god you would think that he would be more wise with a greater perspective.
Nabu was well treated while Goyer was around. After that Geoff tienes him into an Evil and manipulative being. He did the same with the Guardians in GL. This Geoff guy has real problems with elderly people with auctoritas.
Thank you for the thorough rundown of the character's history. Basically, both Earth 1 and Earth 2's Doctor Fates were Kent Nelsons with slightly different origins.
Only two good ones, Kent Nelson and Hector Hall. I wonder if DC will ever lift the editorial ban on Hector and Lyta btw, its astounding...in 15 years we have only seem them or alternative versions of them more like in Convergence, Earth 2 of the 52s pre-Flashpoint, Dark Multiverse and one photo of them in the past in New Frontier. Hawkman didnt mention his son not once, same with Lyta with Miss América and her original mother Earth 2 Diana Who appeared in Metal at the end and didnt even mention her, not to mention Hippolyta, Miss América and others who knew her.
My favorite Is Khalid i really love his solo book ,His personality am relatión whit His family AND Kent are so interesting. I hope to sé hem in More things. (maybe they could make hem his own hbo max tv series 😉😉) My #2 Is Kent icónic . And #3 Is Inza Contrary to what you may believe, she was a slightly more comedic character than her husband and again I loved her series and I would have liked to see more of her adventures. but hey it is what it is.
@@DCnez yes Yes! It perfectly adds up in my vision. A mini web series, where after getting critically damaged from the fight against Sabbac, Nabu goes into a resting state. He throws the helmet to the far reaches of the universe in hopes that it'll find a worthy host. Though weakened, the new doctor fate will still be exceptionally strong. But because Kent Nelson was the host of Nabu for so long, the helmet will instinctively seek out his descendants. It could also be the spirit of Kent himself, manipulating the helmet of Fate from the Anubis Amulet. So, by happenstance the helmet will fall before Kent V Nelson, an alcoholic failed practitioner. It's either that, or the helmet chooses Khalid Nassour, who's also a descendant of Kent.
Kent Nelson is the only Dr. Fate for me. The handling of the version irritates me: earlier, he seems to be a Coptic Christian, but later writers seem to mistake him as an Arab muslim from Egypt. Persecutef Christians of countries taken over by muslims are entirely ignored and without representation. Islam doesn't allow muslims in power to be teamed up with any but true muslims, calling even muslims that don't rape captive women hypocrites for not copying muhammad.
What is up with the DCEU version of Dr Fate having no eye holes in his helmet? Does Nabu have no control over Kent Nelson since he can take off the helmet whenever he wants?

Weirdly I kinda wish we got more Jared Stevens.
He's such a weird character and concept, but its also a really funny one
Hey you! You mentioned the Thunderbolt (and Johnny Thunder) who has a complicated history. Might be interesting to do a video on him.
We don't talk about Suicide Squad Dr Fate
Can you talk about the different Parliament? The Red, Green, Gray, etc and the heroes/villains associated with them
hmm I'll take note of that
Hell yeah, don't know why, but I love you videos of dc characters. I hope your next vid is another universe video. already can't hardly wait

Could you explain the whole New 52 multiverse (worlds and structure)?
👍
Epic video as always! And the timing is so apt.
Great info!!
Thanks for watching!

Glad you think so!

33 minutes 🫣
Nice
For those who have seen the Black_Adam movie
Who do you think should replace Kent Nelson as Dr Fate in the DCEU?
I am quite interested with the alcoholic Kent V Nelson or seeing Nabu
Steel Maxum :)

Kent v nelson or dceu counterpart to hector hall.
There's only been two good characters to play Dr.Fate. Kent Nelson, who is the very best, and Hector Hall, Hawkman's son on Earth 2.
Kent Nelson is the only Dr. Fate for me.

Is steel maximum not in a comic?
I haven't encountered him in any comic book
@@DCnez ahh i see.... That's why he's so vague
I always enjoyed That Doctor Fate a lot more to That Dull Doctor Strange from Marvel comics Man!😉☮️✌️
Doctor Strange doesnt need a helmet to known magic
@@manhcuongangle887 either does zatanas dad
Well, I like them both.
The first Dr. Fate on the left side of the thumbnail was drawn by Phil Cho. I would appreciate it if you credited him in the description or something.
