Lovely playing as ever John - always like to tune in at the end of a business day to hear those lovely chords and runs. When's someome going to seriously get you into the studio!
Yeah. Also... sometimes things look good for the showroom and nice photographs... Then you take the thing home and the glossy eye candy suddenly becomes tacky af.
First of all, beautiful playing! Did you use a backing track that is available out there? As far as the guitar goes, I had an S7 and loved the look of it and it was such a cool guitar. The pickups weren't great but pretty much par for the price range so having the SD's would have been a nice upgrade. But I could not get comfortable with the feel of the neck on it. I ended up trading it for an Epiphone Les Paul custom which worked much better for me from the standpoint of neck comfort. I can play it much easier than I could the S7. Thanks for the review.
On their many price points, personally I feel Sire makes a truly decent instrument...not just for beginners but for any level of player. I'm thoroughly enjoying my new thin line tele T7TV with compensated brass saddles, locking tuners, bone nut, and their standard rolled fret edges...and it's lightweight 6.6lbs ! Beautiful finish.... Geez John....can you say anything negative about your K lines ??? 🤦♀
The minute you started playing, I knew it had SS frets! I have to say, I generally don't like the sound of them, which to me, is harsh , but also somehow bland. Maybe matched to exactly the right neck and body woods, and with specially voiced pickups , they could sound ok, but that's the tail wagging the dog.
Please excuse this off-topic post but I don’t know how to contact you in a different way. I just downloaded your Hotone Ampero presets and they will not import into my Ampero II Stomp, whereas newer ones do. Have a coffee on me though.
Fretboard radius is largely a personal preference thing. Players that like to play faster tend to prefer flatter. It also tends to be more friendly for bending notes, though there are exceptions. Smaller radius tends to be better for chording. A lot of higher end guitars utilize a compound radius fretboard, which have a smaller radius (more curved) towards the nut and larger radius (flatter) towards the body. Hope that helps. 👍
It's a Tom Anderson Spec ripoff. And I love my TA Super Strat. 12-14" subtle and the fastest easiest to play for me after 50 years of bluesy shredding. I am looking forward to getting one of these. Way to go on the review.
I’m not in the market for anymore guitars, but I actually don’t mind the headstock. If I was starting out as a beginner all over again, I’d go the Sire route.
I have no rational reason for it but I dislike most headstocks aside from the classic strat shape. Most seem either downright hamhanded or they feel like an overworked signature trying to impress with too much of a flourish, or they look like something from a superhero comic book OR they try to be avantgarde and so look like they are trying to be avantgarde rather than actually being it (as does 90% of any kind of proposed avantgarde). And then of course there is the moosehead which is where headstock designs tend to go to die. I have an old valley art though, I like that headstock. The headstock on the Sire looks a bit like they took that headstock and shaved off the bit that made it kinda cool. Normally I care about sound and playability more so than aestethics - but an ugly headstock just kills the inspiration to play for me somehow.
I just received the H7T from Sweetwater……. I have to say it’s probably the most disappointing guitar I’ve ever purchased online. It looks nice and it plays pretty nice, but it has absolutely no tone. No life no sustain, and the neck is so narrow that my finger squeeze together when trying to play chords, very disappointed I don’t blame Sweetwater. I blame me for purchasing a guitar without playing it first.

At some point, a guitar is only a guitar and you get diminishing returns (like being always paranoid about scratches or minor faults)

Hi JNC! Good to hear ya again. Greetings from the Philippines!🇵🇭
2025 is definitely the year of getting a superstrat again for me.
Beautiful guitar! Gorgeous playing! Well done John!
I’ve bought a Sire S5 and it is amazing. I am impressed by its beautiful sound and neck comfort. Sire is doing a fantastic job.
Very reminiscent of Godin’s Artisan guitars from the early 90s. I’ll take the Godin if I can actually find one.

Intro playing is very Shawn Lane 🔥
I can play 2:08 - 2:12 pretty easily and I've only been playing for 2 months.
i think they're headed for the valley arts guitar. they were excellent guitars.
I miss your original introductions of you shredding 10s into your videos. 😢🎉😂
Do they do Nitro finishes on any of their guitars?
Great intro jam.
Pretty guitar with nice color combo. But, what was that weird, fretted out picking sound at about 2:08 in the video?
I’m not a fan of low budget guitars anymore, but Sire is always a great beginner choice. PRS too.
I would like to see you review a James Tyler studio elite model

I'm sorry man if i'm wrong i apologize but i recommend you to create your original music brother your every demos are just incredible brother .
Can you do a review of the Sire J5?

Not buying gear is so awesome
So flatter radius is better for playing...which is why it is a premium appointment?

I’d pay extra for guitars to NOT have trems.
One must not mock what one does not understand.
I feel the same, I’d love a super strat with a hardtail so I’ve had a charvel in mind for quite a bit
@ it’s understood the vast majority of whammy bars are left in the case or forgotten at the bottom of some drawer.
First? Nice video concept. Nobody looks at "other" guitars outside the stupid food groups we are obsessed with.
that was some really nice music man!
Headstock looks like a moose-head 😬
The headstock should be changed
That is oddly spot-on. I couldn’t figure out why it bothered me, and you’ve just hit the nail on the moose-head.

@@csharp57 riding the moose into the sunset 😱
Stop playing with my heart. Should I be selling my guitars and amps or buy a Larry Carlton Sire?

I think you were sent an older model. Sire apparently widened the neck on newer H7s after numerous criticisms.
Those headstocks though 🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
It's nice but expensive for what it is.
