6 flies in an evening is WAY more casts/fish than you would ever get from using actual Senkos! I'm primarily a spinning rod fisherman, but love to cast big weighted flies on light line. These will work great. Thanks for your videos, they are great 👍
Thank you Tim! Yes I’m sure they will cast easy on light spinning gear, they have a good weight once they get wet. And yes they will be a lot cheaper than soft plastics.
I love these. Soft plastics should be banned. Millions of pounds are polluting waters and wastefully killing fish. I wonder if there's "Premium" grades of that yarn? Might last longer. I want to try things like wrapping it around some small rubber or silicone tube, like for slingshots. Also wrap it on some heavy cotton cord or thick mono or flouro fishing line to maybe strengthen and secure it. Definitely much more durable than plastics. Thanks!!!
Hey ! Thanks for your comment, not sure if there is a stronger type out there, but if you get one roll of it you will have enough for generations to come lol.
You’re not fishing pasta , right? 😅 I do hate those dragon tails. They fall apart easily, especially after a few hits from pike. Don’t use them myself, they fray easily

Hello Norbert! Great video! Always looking for alternative fly tying materials! All the best.
Fantastic! I’m glad you liked it! Thanks for the support!
Looks like Bernat baby blanket yarn? I’ll have to try it with the yarn I have. Thanks for the vid!
Thank you, yes there is many names depending where you can source that yarn, all pretty similar.

Yes same here , waste of money, if anything, that Bohemian chenille last a little longer, but its very cheap ;)
@@NorbertRenaud The action of the fly is great though. I wonder what “damage” your medusa inspired fly could do in those lilly pads spots
@@dirkvannieuwenhove it will work great ! Just need to tie a cpl pieces of mono for weed guard and you’re good to go 😉
