- In this video we ride and walk through Humboldt Redwood State Park! My first time seeing the beautiful, gigantic Redwoods! What a sight to see! No fee to enter the 30 plus mile scenic highway.
There is a fee to ride through the Shrine Tree (its actually on private property) $5.00 for motorcycles and $10.00 for cars.

You might enjoy Muir Woods. Years ago there was a tree so large, a road was cut through it and a car could drive through it. Tree eventually died and was cut down.

Went through the redwoods and Ave of the Giants back in 2018 after a road trip destination to Vancouver Canada. Best vacation I ever had. So much to see out there. Nothing like camping in a tent and having a group of elk just casually walking around the campground

My hubs and I love you guys. He's also a retired police officer from cobb County and after 30 years of service he's retiring at the end of April, and we will be picking up our tiffin motorhome the first week of May. We can wait to see this beautiful country and hopefully we will see you on the road.

Spent a few months there a few years ago. We stayed in Myers Flats which is in the middle of the avenue of the giants. Also have all of it on my GoPro

Road Glide or no glide! 👍 That was some good riding - looked like a very lush forest. I see you change camera positions a lot, which makes for great angles. Do you just move them when you happen to stop, or do you stop specifically to change them around?
I agree Hogdriver88! Ride or drive it is beautiful. I typically use several cameras at once to reduce having to stop to change positions but when we do stop, I move some around for the next segment.

I loved to see you hugging those trees! We've been there 3 times and want to go back again. They are truly breathtaking. Redwoods are all up and down the north coast of California. I hope you get to ride down Route 1. Watch out for whales as they do their northern migration up the coast. By the way. I don't know how you get all those great shots while riding from all the angles but pretty durn cool. Enjoy!

Amazing rides. We sooooo want to get out there. Not sure if I asked before, old age and all, but what camera and mount do you use for the pulled back behind you shot. Is it a gopro 360 or other? On some kinda mounted pole?
Thanks my friend. I use the Insta 360 with the selfie stick/suction cup and a little bit of tape for extra security. May do a video on camera placements soon.

Was the fallen tree actually the bridge across the water?
No Dan, I found out that the actual foot bridge is removed in the winter. I'd seen it on other videos when researching the area. The tree was more fun anyway :)

Avenue of the Giants is a breathtaking ride. Many people denigrate California because of the crazy politics and refuse to visit, but it's their loss.
