- The Owlab Vento 80 is their new TKL after the highly popular Mr. Suit. This, however, is a much different experience and is full of innovation. The Vento utilizes a leaf spring mounting system similar to the Owlab Jelly Evolv. This is by far of one the easiest custom keyboards to build thanks to its unique mechanism to open and close the case, making it super easy to modify without having to use a screwdriver. The typing feel is soft without any foams and stiffens up when you do use the foams. The sound is really nice with and without foam with a 1.6mm pcb. I highly recommend you check this keyboard out. It is quite expensive, but if it's in your budget, it's something to consider if you are in the market for a TKL.

Love my Mr Suit as my favorite sounding and feeling board in the collection (and a really elegant design), with the Capsule being a close 2nd, but this one appears to be a nice evolution in the sound and feel dept. I actually love the way it looks too! Not sure if I’ll be trying to get one because I have too many already, but Owlabs is always among the best in the hobby with their keeb designs! Great video!

Yeah man. The custom keyboard world pricing can get crazy. Much better now day with lower prices options, but we also have the high end like this.
Owlabs did make a correction on the 7u spacebar PCB. You can use it for both WK and WKL

Nice review. Was hoping to hear POM plate sound test too. Is this kb naturally thocky or clacky? and do you like POM or CF better. Thinking about buying 2 plates too but I do not change plates often and cant really hear the differences.
POM has a deeper sound when compared to CF. So if you are looking for a deeper poppy sound, Go with POM. CF is a stiffer plate.
Amazing review, but with foam or no foam sound same, better compare the sound after another

It's super nice to see some love for V2Us, it's insane how good it is for the price, and the fact that you don't even need to hand lube it is just the cherry on top. Have been using it for quite a while and pleasantly surprise to see V2Us being used in a $500 kit

What a time to be alive. Although this board isnt my style I can appreciate all the things QK are doing for the hobby. They keep throwing BANGERS into the hobby and continue to evolve the space.

Great vid. Pretty sure Hyacinth V2U aren't quite full travel and still pole bottom out.
I think you are right. They are meant to be, but I think due to tolerances, they mark a mm off the travel.
I have a KeebsforAll TKL and a QK80 TKL already, so another TKL is hard for me to justify. I do like the unique style and buildability of this TKL keyboard, though.

A raffle? This is the first time I have heard of a raffle in order to buy a keyboard. That´s what I hate about high end boards, group buys, raffles. Why can´t they just sell in stock? People that want them would buy them anyway.
raffles have been a thing for a long time now, this is definitely not the first and definitely not the last. But yea i agree raffles suck

Owllabs been doing this since the Suit iirc. It’s to prevent weirdos from buying up the already low stock and trying to sell it for more typically. There will always be other boards that will call your name and will be sold in a method you like though.
Singa, TGR, and many more small, high end makers have been doing raffle sales for years. And most of the time, they are instock raffles. This is to stop people from people from buying multiple units

I LOOOOVEEEE HMX switches. They’re my new go to for any grail board I have now. Only downside truly is most HMX’s sound relatively the same. If you don’t like high pitched switches, they will never be for you. Exception being MAYBE HMX Garnets and Swifts.
Totally agree! HMX are fantastic and is probably the best switch for someone getting into the hobby. Swifts are some of my favs due to it's deeper sound profile. Thanks for watching homie.
