When considering the purpose of Drink Champs, this has got to be the greatest episode by FAR. This is crazy epic, I had chills watching Flash work and explain the intricacies of what he brought us. Priceless. 🙌🏾💪🏾👑🔥🔥🔥
A lot of people been lying. Grandmaster Flowers is allegedly the one for giving Flash his full name of Grandmaster (saying Flash got it from him). A lot of the stories Flash is speaking on, there's others saying it's not true, but their stories don't add up or match to his. There's no "his/her truth"... It's either the TRUTH or a LIE. Flash became the Grandmaster because he was naturally driven to be inquisitive about music and beats and had the foundational knowledge Gompers Vocational High School afforded him. His educational foundation answered many of his childhood inquiries and peaked his natural interests even more! This all was the catalyst that allowed him to build and expand on his DJ knowledge, experiences, and skills. No disrespect, but the others just didn't have that mother/father element as Flash (records/seamstress materials} and surely didn't have Flash's educational background! These are the factors that made him THE EXPERT! If the others created {NOT} then where are they in their craft now vs Flash???

@7:15 James Brown is one of the most, if not the most, sampled artist ever…..force of nature. Baddest to do it. Flash is all of it man, engineer/scientist, artist, historian, founding father, pioneer of an ambiguous art form all wrapped up into one. I can’t express how much this man was a part of my life, when artist who are completely and utterly living and breathing what God intended for their purpose… then create and share their works of art, I consider it to be one of the most amazing parts about being human. I mentioned James brown because these are people who would rather create than sleep. Kanye, Pharrell, Dre, Sir Jinx, Kay Gee, Swizz Beatz (DMX), Organized Organized Noize, The Hitmen, Brian Wilson( beach boys), Ron Lawrence and soo on and so forth. Our country has produced groundbreaking sound that has and will resonate longer than any other music culture worldwide EVER! It ain’t even close. God bless!
