Nice to see something in the old Doncaster Corporation colours. Sadly, gone are the days of the old southern bus station. Even Christchurch is but a shadow of its former self. They were places you could see a wonderful, eclectic mix of vehicles and colours. The immaculately turned out AEC Regent V’s of Felix were my favourites but I liked the Guy Arabs of Blue Line and later the amazing whine and whistle of the B55 Van Hool Ailsas.

We might see even more homogenous livery if Stagecoach buys Arriva as well! Personally I like seeing different colours etc

There is a RUclips video with an even older heritage livery (see West Yorkshire Transport Spotter). I love to see modern buses in such liveries but put a new livery on an old bus and it doesn't work.

Welcome to Doncaster. Sadly first run some right scruffy buses here. They seem to get cascaded through the ranks and come to Doncaster to die. When the independents ran up until de-regulation in the mid 80's buses were far tidier especially Felix motors. Now, the bus services around Doncaster are just overpriced and unappealing. Perhaps if we saw something like Transdevs 36 service from Leeds to Harrogate the fares could be justified/tolerated but instead you get dumped on tatty, dirty and unappealing older buses. Precisely why I travel by car still.

Have to admit I expected some newer stuff when we visited.
