Very informative Video. BMRCL can partner with private operators to run the Metro feeder buses so that last mile connectivity improves . It can also give commission based revenue for the BMRCL.
Amazingly detailed summary, love it! Keep the great work going. Would also be great to see an update on the Suburban rail project if possible. Our city needs a LOT more rapid transit and focus on non-motorised trabsportation to improve the quality of lives for eveyone.
Disappointed to note that there are no stations between Bagalur Cross and Dodjala on the airport line. Though this may speed up the metro, it would be highly inconvenient for the general public in many areas in between them, including thickly populated Hunesmaranahalli, Vidyanagar Cross and Chikjala. This may prompt these residents to use their own vehicles thus causing traffic jams. This may defeat the purpose of metro to reduce traffic jams within the city at the cost of rapid transport to the airport.
Absolutely, Red wont be ready before 2038-40 timeframe. Even Orange will take till 2035-38, given how they took 7 years to build just 3 km! By that time, Delhi would be 700km, Mumbai 500km and Hyderabad & Chennai 400km each. We'd struggle to cross even 250km though started earlier than most others in 2006. BMRCL has 100% miss rate (every line construction, rolling stock, etc is delayed). Now more problems as they want double decker for Orange & Red lines. Nightmare for drivers for another 15 years in this forever under construction city. Suburban is even worser- less said the better ! Bunch of corrupt, uninterested, inept people are in power. We lost it right there itself.
Really Bangalore metro yellow line construction is completed but delay in coaches. All construction must be completed on time on train but severely getting delayed in Bangalore
For blue line is it possible that phase 2A opens before So i live near bellandur and since 1yr the progress of phase 2A(silk board-kr puram) is very good in comparison with 2B (kr puram-airport) As these are managed by two diff construction firms SNC and NCC
Bro KR Puram to Airport Phase 2B will not open before 2028 December. The Blue line atleast I can understand if it is delayed as it is an extremely long line but the yellow and pink lines being delayed is just sheer tragedy🥺🥺 Edit: 2028 is me being highly optimistic,they haven't even fin alised stations and not one station is atleast half complete unlike KR Puram Silkboard route. I don't know when will Bengalurians get good public transport or is it these incompetent people delaying due to bureaucracy or what is the reason why every single metro line is getting delayed.
not rlly - i am a frequent traveller on the blue line route , the krpura silkboard is amazing progress , its happening pretty fast and should be done by 2026 whereas the krpura to airport is also happening at a decent pace around 50% of u grinders are already placed and work on most stations has startd its just not as fast as phase 2a but i think should be ready by 2027 ending
The political differences between the Congress (in the state) and the BJP (at the centre) have a very significant impact on the progress of such massive projects. Keep that in mind. If Karnataka had a BJP government, by now many lines would be nearing completion.

@@Ash-jh3gh Why will it be a flop ? They said the same about Metro project itself- why are you spending money for city people instead of giving to village people. Karnataka means rural areas only. ,..... Now see no place to even stand.
One is tired of the lame excuses of BMRCL about delays. Take for example Green line - at the time of designing this line it should have been known that permissions from Nandi Infrastructure and BIEC for land acquisition. So why they are being given as excuses for delays????
Never allow the advertisement wrapping over the metro bogies!. C'mon. It serves nobody, trains run either over elevated corridors or underground. Who is supposed to see the advertisements?. Rather it will only make the metro's look cheap. Let them be as they are. If anything, the ads shud reach the people who use these metros. So make decent looking provisions inside the bogies. Don't degrade the quality of infra by doing such dumb things.

I think seeing the delay of yellow & extended green lines, orange grey lines may take upto more than 10yrs & red line to 15yrs!😢

Disappointed to see the number of stations on the silver line reduced to 9 from 12. The area in around Sunkadakatte has terrible connectivity.
