I’ve worked in the industry and there are few that make their own fries. This guy is making fresh fries in the best tradition of cooking. People who open that package of prepackaged fries and think it is something special will be shocked at the real thing. Everything they did to produce delicious fries was spot on. Since this is his staple, he can afford to do it right. I’m deeply appreciative of folks who cook fresh. It makes a huge difference in taste.

I went looking for it myself today and found it in the Wilms (Wilmersdorfer Str.) shopping arcade in the basement. Unfortunately a bit early, I spoke to the owner personally. I had a very nice chat and promised him to come back before Christmas, which I will do 100%.
That's a winner formula: few and simple proposal but well well done that help the customer to be quickly satisfied and helping at the same time the shop to have a unique reputation.

So why not just do it - e.g. Ryanair Dublin to Berlin and back should be about 50 EUR or less. Accommodation prices of course vary with standards but Berlin is not super-expensive, yet. You could just spend a weekend. And there is so much to see in Berlin.

I remember amazing Dutch food when we visited Heerlen n Maaastricht in the 80s. Your film bright back the flavours and textures from 40 years ago. I'm from the UK, there's a product we use in our fish and chip shops which eliminates soaking the potatoes in water, its called rice cones its a coarse rice flour and its used for extraction of moisture discolouration of potatoes which have been chipped, and dusting for better addesion of battered food products it also stops spitting when cooking

you get the best fries if you use 'binjte' potatoes, now hard to get, but still the best taste.
