Brother! You came through! That canvas rotate and timeline scrub is going to definitely change up my game!! Thank you so much and don't worry, this tut is as exciting as any other!
@@TipTut I don't know if you currently have it setup like this but I changed shortcut on *Timeline Scrub* from *alt + middle mouse click* to *alt + left mouse click.* I did this so as I am drawing, I press *alt* then I can flip and add keys, breakdowns, or in-betweens naturally, without ever having to go down to *Dopesheet.* I also checkboxed *Always Snap* so it defaults to scrubbing keyframes instead of inbetweens unless I press *shift* . I am a classical animator so this is so valuable to me! Now if only there was a way to show current frame on camera view hmmmm! lol Thank you once again!
@@oneyplayes465 I also change timeline scrub shortcut. Can sound weird to change default shortcut coming from the developer, but that's because default shortcut choices are discussed with Core Grease Pencil team on this addon ;)
oh i need to save some good time to watch all your blender videos . as i saw before a lot of animate cc videos and learn a lot from them " and still learning " . thank you very much . you just the best
List of Grease Pencil Questions 1. Why is the fill not working? 2. How to connect points in a vector? 3. How to make an acute angle in a vector? 4. How to make a smoothing brush?
the timeline scrub- that would be nice, but I suppose one would have to map a MMB to their stylus for it to work (I have always had right click and double click mapped to the stylus button)
These tools aren't just good, they're essential! I'm going to begin a grease pencil related project soon, and this comes super handy. The deformation with ctrl+t boxes (and subdiv to get a kind of warp/puppet modifier) are imo extremely useful. Even if used only as a starting point (or maybe can be final touches!), but I'm sure it will cut production times. The straightening tool seems very practical most of all for architecture and objects. I haven't dig enough in grease pencil to know if there's an option for line smoothing just while drawing (it averages to make "perfect curves", not just straightens) like one can set in Clip studio, Krita, Photoshop or etc. I rarely use it these days (my lines got better, yay :D ), but for very "vector like" animation (think of manga hair waving, etc) could be very good. That feature would be very useful, too (maybe it's there already!). "Forgive me", you're kidding, right? :) This tutorial is really, really good !. Very eager also to see the possibilities of 3D and 2D mixing. I've seen already features shown in alphas for months, and all, but the more I absorb of it, the better (as I'm not getting it fully, yet). Blender is becoming an AMAZING 2D/3D tool. (Edit: typo).
Sorry in the Grease Pencil section I'm just starting out, I didn't understand if I use the tool to draw an arc, once confirmed with enter, can I go back to editing the next frame by modifying the curve? Or do I have to trace it again?
I am a beginner. I need help, no matter how i follow instructions, fill in my 3.4 blender grease pencil doesn't seem to work. thank you for familiarizing me to blender.
After using the box deform, upon confirm, Blender crashes. It does this on two different Mac computers. I can't get it to work at all. Pressing enter crashes Blender as well as pressing the space bar. Does anyone have this same issue..?
hello friend my name is chris but my friends call me gospel. anyways im disabled in a wheelchair and live on ssi and calfresh assistance. every day i l literally live in fear of ssi or calfresh canceling my benifits i always worry about recieving a termination of benifits letter. so i decided to learn blender so i can start a cartoon channel on youtube and basically earn some money on my own so i can be more financially secure and not have to be afraid all the time. ive subscribed to your channel and been watching your tutorials for a few weeks now and i wanted to say thank you because you have giving me hope.

Bro, you look like Ollie Bridgewood from GCN, bike channel but for Blender. How gnarly. :D
Thanks for the insight on the new features from Blender.

Thanks, glad you like the video! There is a separate stroke smoothing option separate to this, a more traditional 'stabiliser'
@@TipTut Thanks a lot! I will check that :)
Nice and detailed tutorial!
Oooo this sounds so useful! It's like the Transform tool I'm already used to using! This is gonna be great!!!!!!
I've found it super useful!
Great tutorial! Thank you for making it!
Your tutorial is very useful.... You are a good teacher.... 👏👏👏
you mention so many short cut keys I gotta go back and write them down hahaha
thanks

Excellent video. Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
can u tell me how to to convert a grease pencil animation to mesh?
Master Tiptut, would you also happen to have a few Adobe Character Animator tips and tutorials?
I haven't done Character Animator tutorials and I don't really have an inclination to do so, I don't think it's that great of a tool.

Hello ! Did you know if i drag and drop a keyframe on another one by mistake i can retrieve it ? Because it seems to delete it.
How early into finding someone’s RUclips channel should you say that you love them?
I'd say around about straight away, give or take a video
Yoo I am not doing well in studies but still I am here
❤❤❤😂
