WANT to know my Areca plant has small bags what do I do ?
Great info. Very helpful brother. Thank you!
Excellent video great tips👍
Planning to get one. Nice video!
I have never had luck with palms, but I haven't tried this one! Maybe I'll get brave and give it a go... thanks, Martin, for the fun video!
Thank you Charlie 🤙🌿🌱
Beautiful plant
Very informative 😊, thanks.
Wowwwwww nice video... thanks 🙏🏻
So cute
areca my favourite
🌴😀 one of my favorites too!
Finally someone who knows what they're talking about! I hope mine grows big and beautiful like yours! 🤍 I'm worried about ruining it because they're so expensive.
Just bought one today... I have no experience with plants hence on your video.. thank you
You're welcome!
They are beautiful but very high maintenance
Mine right now. Is turning a light brown color. I’m not sure what it’s telling me.This is my second time trying the palm.
Ok I need your help! I have a few different varieties of palm but my arcea for some reason ALWAYS has yellowing tips on the leaves. I water appropriately, I have replaced the soil and washed the roots which are beautiful by the way but for some reason, the darn tips turn yellow on me along with some browning. The plant is beautiful don't get me wrong but I rim the yellow and brown tips over and over and they always come back. HELP!
Our local tap water is very mineral heavy, my local nursery suggested I switch to filtered. I’m having the same problem too
Yes I bought an Areca 18 months ago as my last one died from over pruning, unfortunately I don't think I have cared correctly for my current plant, it still has healthy green leaves but many fronds have wilted and died, I have had to prune a lot off as a result, I am going to change the position to receive morning sunshine and change its soil hopefully this does the trick!
Did this do the trick? Trying to rescue two at the moment and not sure about transplant shock.
I have one I bring in for winter here in Ontario Canada. Think I over water as it turns brown and trim brown leaves off.
Its also trying brown on some leaves how to I cut those off which out hurting it.
my palm is yellowing and turning brown after 2 weeks from store....i re potted it and found alot of worms and white larvae, what can I do? thanks so much!!! its an areca indoor :)
Hi Martin, my plant gets new branches and later in a weeks time of opening it gets light green and turns brown and looks ugly to leave it in there. I have repotted but it does not look healthy. It’s about 15 yrs and was given as gift. Don’t know how to bring it back to being green and healthy like before.
She loves moisture. How often do I sprinkle her leaves with water? Thank you
Areca r great .👍
Yes, they are 🤙
Hi my baby palm has black dots going up stems onto leafs can u plz help 🙏
Is it good to put it out at night then bring back in the house during in the day
Very informative! I have one question, why is my areca thin on one side (has very few leaves)?
Probably one side faces the sun and the other doesn’t, rotate it once in a while
@@sparkelswift Thank you, i will do that
Is it like sun?
Can it be near heat source?
yes mine stand next to the central heater in the lving room, just check the soil if it is moist
Can I bury the leaves of the plant in the potting soil when planting the plant
How often do you water it?
Hey I have some brown dots like yours on my Areca but they look like they are spreading upwards and they come off when I gently use a damp cotton pad to wipe them. Should I be concerned or is this normal?
You have some type of mitea
Many unique points didnt see it in other videos thank u. (Suscribed)
I recently repotted my palm i removed 2 stems as i felt it was mushy n will kill entire plant but after repot my other stem leavs seem to getting dried/burned not sure what the reason could be.
1. I did wash it with soap neem oil n bit of baking soda mixed water
2. Kept the plant roots to air a bit as suggested by someone to kill if there is any fungus (covered in moist paper) for aprox 10hr
3. Potted it back in
Hi! thanks for subscribing! Is it getting too much direct sunlight?
mine grow slow what can i do
@@BigBoyPlants hi no it was indoor. No direct light/near window.. but visible bright light in the room. Watered only once a week
@@Mini-ic4cv same here. I put little stones in the bottom to help the drainage
@@elenilachana1751 oh thanks, i did have proper drainage holes n stones in the bottom. may b its the soil mix (put in by nursery i bought it from) not sure, my plant died 😔.
In north Europe selling all shops this palm , but it keeps a life about 2-3 years and die , cos the climate it’s not good for this palm even its indoors
How much water for that exact size and how frequently?
I have the same question lol😊
How many times a week should I water it
Once per week should be enough, but this may vary on the weather where you live 😊
@@BigBoyPlants uk. I have it the kitchen which a very bright room, but it’s not sitting direct in the sunlight. The kitchen is a lovely warm place. So I thought this would be good. It’s just the watering I’m concerned on because I know it’s fussy when it comes to feeding time .
@@Megacowmilker353 I live in the UK too and I’m getting one of these for my south facing bedroom. A lot of my larger houseplants prefer to stay on the drier side and I usually stick my finger in the soil and see if the top 2 inches are dry when I pull my finger out. If it is, I give it a little drink! How fast your plant takes up the water is very dependant on so many things including light/heat/size of the plant and pot. But if you see the soil is moist on the surface then don’t water it. My monstera only gets watered about every 3 weeks during spring and summer when it’s warmer and it seems happy with not a weekly drink :) hope this helps!
@@TheTommyLambert thank you. I really want to look after this plant and make
Sure it thrives. I think every other day I’ll keep sticking my finger in the soil to see if it’s ok. Thanks again.
I think I already killed my plant…Noob mistake, pretty sure I over pruned….
To slow getting to the point!
Hahaha. 'Also know as muhumahah. I don't think you could pronounce that. Atleast you tried.
Slow paste and not straight to the point
I realize English is not his first language but I got frustrated with the speed of his talking by minute 1:30. I don’t think I can make it to the end.
