Hi! I love this pattern! My teenage niece (15yrs) asked for me to make her a Sonic hat. How would I modify the pattern for more of an adult head?
On my website www.priscillascraftshop.com I have the child size. Some teens can fit that size but if you need to go bigger I would go up one more increase from that size so instead of 66 dc you would increase up to 72 (2 dc, dc x 11) and add an extra row. You will need to add more spikes but everything should be perfect.
What yarn do you use for the base of the hat ?
Any worsted weight #4 would do, but for this hat I used Impeccable™ Solid Yarn by Loops & Threads in Royal
