hey there Cobuman, This is one of the things I really wanted to learn, SCCM especially when it's one of the requirements for our tier 2 and tier 3 . Keep up the good work. Looking forward to more videos or course on SCCM. Thanks!!!
Hi Cobuman, I found your channel around a week ago and I am really amazed by the content. Really Great tutorials. Kindly read my big message as I need a suggestion from you as I am tensed a lot right now. I have more than 4 years of work experience in IT Application support which was way back from 2013-2017. Then I switched to a government job as it is a big craze here in India but after working there for 3 years I realized that IT was my cup of tea. I tried to switch fields while working but since I was posted 1000 km from my home it became impossible to manage and I left my banking job. Now I am unemployed for 3 months, have given around 6-7 interviews (after applying for more than 200 jobs) but have yet not been able to find out what should I do to get back into the field. My experience in IT is old and it seems interviewers are taking my banking job also as a gap. Not sure what should be my path forward as I am ready for fresher jobs also but not getting my resume screened for them as the case has been so far. Kindly suggest some paths. Thanks a lot for the content again. Love from India
Amazing work! Really well put together. I have a silly question though - what exactly is a distribution point, and why's it required? Shouldn't the Server running SCCM be sufficient? 🤔
Good question. Sometimes you need multiple distribution points for faster software download. For example, a company that has locations in different states or countries.
Hi! Thanks for video! Could you please make a video of SoftwareCenter troubleshooting (reinstallation of client on user side) and how troubleshoot apps installation
completely off topic but how would you properly configure an Msbooking calendar with personal outlook calendars. Scenario: business subscription 1 or 2nd tier. User is seeking to make sure bookings calendar syncs properly with his sales team members personal (work) outlook calendar. Not to sure why bookings isn’t reading my user’s availability in both bookings and outlook. Please help.
This can be done through Calendar delegation. Basically, you can delegate access to someone's calendar which grants them ability to add/change/update/delete other persons calendar.
@@Cobuman so I understand that part. The calendar says can view details but ms bookings will not sync properly. I have tried everything, should I use power shell to add the permissions? We have even re-created the shared calendar.
Hi Cobuman thanks for the sharing information but I have one Query regarding one incident issue one drive there are showing many file is dublicate copy in shared folder i have tried so many steps but didn't fixed it
@@Cobuman thanks for the update so I have tried last time synchronisation issue but this is fixed user want kindly delete this file but there are so many double, triple, quadruple if file is deleted so data is lost so can you share the confirmation
can you please help me to provide the virtual machines link which has SCCM so I don't need to install in my vm and its very hard to install taking a lot of time with many errors..thanks
This link has the VM you need. The VM is called CM. You do need to install the whole package though: www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-mem-evaluation-lab-kit Here is the video tutorial: ruclips.net/video/laDQImMNaCc/видео.html
Yes, this is from Microsoft. You just need HyperV enabled and then run Setup on the downloaded lab> www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-mem-evaluation-lab-kit
Ugh, you only need to trigger machine policy from the configmgr commandlet. Not everything And you're not deploying to users. You deploy to machines. Always. The user specific is because SCCM knows what MACHINE the user is logged into and it will follow the user around to MACHINE installs if you make it a user based install
@@Cobuman yes i am frustrated because i do the reimaging of laptops in my company. I dpnt have the right to delete a device in intune etc. The people who gives rights wants i use the idp tool to register who did the reimage. If u use the idp tool u need to acces the uuid. And i need to use wmic path command. Write in papers or make a foto and Type the whole uuid in the idp tool in another computer. I encounter a lot of issues while reimaging and the only solution is to delete the device in the AD or the enrollment. Its very very very frustrating.
What in the hell is this garbage? Package style installers are the OLD pre 2007 and earlier method. Applications is the new one. THAT is the difference. BOTH methods install, or can, quietly. I use and built MECM (SCCM) from scratch and maintain it daily. This video is WAY wrong.

Sure thing. This is covered in the first video. Link in description.
For someone who’s company is paying for school what do you recommend to learn so that we can have the knowledge that you have and experience.
Well, you've said it yourself. My knowledge is simply my work experience.
@@Cobuman yea I figure but is there a good course that you recommend like coursa ?
@@Cobuman I’m in IT but if feel like I’m at a stopping point and want to learn more

Is application deployment available without SCCM. I mean what if the company doesn’t use SCCM??
There are other alternatives that can handle software distribution. My previous job used Marimba.
@@Cobuman thank you so much 🙏

i am a tier 2 and we are not allowed to do this. it's crazy
It depends on the company you work for. But, it's not hard so you should have access to it.
