Alcistra Alcistra it sure was a popular show with the families.there seemed to more at this one then any other we have being to. Sat on the front row the kids kept running up to see the planes .it was good to see there excitment but a pain when trying to film lol
Michael Brown yes by all reports 50000 people bought tickets and I was one that was happy to made a change for me to go to a local show and not have to pay out for a hotel of fuel. For me it was cheaper than going to Eastbourne for example
Was an awful airshow on the Saturday---RAIN--no Reds apart from a few minutes of Gypo----and 50 tokens given out to meet the Reds--when they were given out to chums!!---Why I drove up from Surrey I don't know--I wonder why there are NO MORE Scampton Airshows ----not a patch on RIAT/even Biggin, which is sad these days !
It was a shame about the weather. It was hoped to be the first of many to replace waddington. But sadly not to be as I am local to scampton it would of been nice to have had a airshow on the door step again.
