- A female Snapping Turtle lays her eggs on the trail near a lake in Minnesota. Over a few hours she picked her spot, dug a hole, laid dozens of round white eggs and buried them before lumbering back to the lake.

Was led to your channel through Bobblehead Homestead -- and am tickled to have found it. We have snapping turtles and have seen them laying eggs in our garden. BUT -- your video was so intricate, amazing and beautiful -- giving the wonderful up-close view of the amazing beauty of the turtle and the use of the muscular system and the innate instinct of nature of the turtle as she did was nature does. Breathtaking. Have to admit to a tear forming just from the sheer beauty of nature. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing all I can about nature through your camera.
Thats awesome! I am very jealous of his homestead, love his channel trailer video too :) This turtle was a real surprise! She let me get so close, there were loads of other people stopping to watch too. One little boy asked if I was an archaeologist❤ that made me feel a bit like Indiana Jones.

First off, let me thank you for sharing this video & all the others you've posted. 🙂 I honestly can't believe you recorded this with an iPhone! You were able to get SO CLOSE! In fact, I was feeling like I, as the viewer, was being a bit invasive to this beautiful creature doing Mother Nature's work. We've encroached upon their habitats to the point they must do their very important work without privacy from curious spectators, & I wonder about the stress we add to the work they do. I can see you love & appreciate nature, so again, thank you. I have to assume you, too, appreciate it's beauty, as you obviously work hard to continue it's longevity with your beautiful gardens. I thank you to take care of Mother Nature's wildlife with the same care & respect as you do the glorious plant life she's blessed us with 😊💚🌻🐢
I am always mindful of how my filming affects wildlife. I came back to her a few times on my walk, giving her plenty of space to pick a spot and she chose the trail! Once she was in position, nothing phased her so I felt comfortable getting those close ups. I dont like being filmed either, so I know when its time to leave. I got just enough footage to make this video. Thanks for watching :)

We had a snapping turtle meander across our property last week. Now I'm wondering if it was a female that had just laid her eggs near the creek. WOW we might have babies all over the place soon :) TYFS ♥
P.S. I forgot to add....I almost cried at the end when after making sure her eggs were safely buried, she did what she was created to do------>walk away knowing her job was complete! Just like the one that slowly walk across our property. Fascinating, isn't it? :)

Thank you so much! I think they only get out of the water to lay eggs or find a bigger pond so the one you saw was probably laying eggs too. This spot is easy to remember, right on the trail, they seem to like the top of a small hill sloping towards the water.

I was dreaming alot about sea turtles yesterday🐢 and realizing they were many times in moments of my life.
There is two memories that got my attention mainly this night.
I was walking with 3 old friends,triangle,at the beach around November of 2014 and then suddenly after a few steps further away from my neighborhood they screamed ' look,It is seaturtle ! ' and then we kept looking for the sea turtle at the bridge by the sea.
We were walking just after we had lunch after a strange conversation at 'Subway'.
They were eating sandwiches and meat,and I kept asking for 🥗 salad only as I did not like any of those industrialized meats or breads but I wanted to be soo badly with people I cared for and loved that I paid the same value as them and gave Nicolas and his twin brother bread and kept eating my salad. It was a very strange and angry morning for them because my old friend Brenda was arguing with Nicolas Torrezani,her old boyfriend because now they currently don't date anymore,and strange topics suddenly appeared. I met them around 11:33 or something that day. Before that meeting I was at my house cleaning the dishes and a few things in my room. For that reason I was late at their meeting at the beach.It was a very unexpected day because I kept them waiting for me for atleast one hour as I did not show up to date. We were supposed to meet at 10am hahaha They were at the beach taking "pictures" hahaha
At 'Subway' close to Bourbon Hotel,there was this arguing with Brenda and then she suddenly said 'Why don't you marry Nicolas?' and then I was very embarrassed and said I was sad for them fighting and was very sorry to make them argue with each other because they were a couple and they loved each other. Matheus,his twin brother kept asking me for "Cookies" and then he started whispering sexual things for me a few times after that. Well I was very pissed after this because I really liked Mat but that was very uncomfortable and sad ☹️ I said to him 'You are faking It' because I saw he had other 'intentions' hahahahaha
The event happened in my neighborhood at the beach close to my house.
It was a day of Moon in the sign of ♌ Leo,Magha,and It was around midday very hot and sunny. It was Nicolas Torrezani who spotted the turtle and yelled after spoting the animal as he was leading the way for us to the supermarket we went on the neighborhood just after the beach.It is called "Supermercado São José".
It has the symbol of a saint pointing up to the neighborhood close to this place called "Triângulo das Bermudas"
It was a triangle at that day and I kept saying to my friends that Brenda was going to get pregnant and that was a triangle day,because Leo Moon Magha creates a Trine Triangle with Fire Signs. Mat and Nic are twins of Sagittarius and Brenda,Nicolas girlfriend,had Leo Moon and I was Aries Moon and I kept saying to them we were a triangle...Oh well but Brenda was working for a bad restaurant/bar after that 🙄There is alot of drugs in this Triangulo das Bermudas neighborhood😓
When Nicolas entered in the Supermarket he looked a little bit lost for me. His twin brother kept asking for me Cookies and Doritos.I think It was cheese flavor that he wanted. I hated Doritos and Cookies,and was making an exception because Leo Moon is very fun and interesting for me. We bought Doritos and started eating 😂 I did not like It too much and they ended up eating everything I said I liked broccoli or something 😂😂🤣 It was a very fun day. I am dreaming about these memories after the turtles showed up.
Last time I spent many times at the beach It was around 2019 and I think It was in August. I was at Manguinhos beach with my cousin.She has drug dealers issues because her german father is involved with nasty things. She asked me and my mother to stay at their German beach house they bought in Brazil. Her German family,some members come to this house in season mainly her german family members,half-brother,their families,grandfather, uncle and father. They do not live there and only use that house in Brazil's summer around January. After staying over there we went into the beach with her son around the same time in the morning. Many turtles started to appear at the beach when the waves started to turn and a storm came in and closed the sky in clouds out of nowhere.
I was diving all morning at the sea with her son that was around 3 years old. The seaturtles started showing up constantly and they kept following me whenever direction I swimed to. There was a mysterious man I was looking for at that time but I did not know where he was, because I was having many dreams of a black haired man. There was another triangle with a woman with a child and this man watching me behind my back.
It was very odd and I had strange feelings at that day. Even though he was following me he couldn't go much deep in the water for some reason.
The seaturtles were always guiding me. I kept following them.
I think that is why I have soo many triangles in my life. It is because of Mars conjunction Rahu,funny thing is that I am ruled by Ketu soo does that makes my 7 house ruled by Mars and Rahu? Yes...It is the reflection of the mirror.
That was a very interesting memory showing up this night.
Sometimes they come up naturally 😉😂🥰It has been like this forever since I was born.
This music reminded me of images of my childhood and teenage years playing Zelda Majora's Mask,only the love song could break the spell of Rahu at that game,and then the Evil Mask would be release from It's victims.
Jupiter has soo many things that Rahu cannot confront.

My garden has become a maternity ward for these bastards. First the groundhogs, then the rabbits, then deer, and now snapping turtles. And not sure what to do. 4 snapping turtles have dug up our sifted and prepared soil and and spent hours laying eggs very very deep in. Don’t know what is so special but it has gotten pretty ridiculous knowing we cannot go near them because we don’t want any broken limbs.
Thats unlucky. At my old place they nested in the garden, but I grow mostly in pots. It sounds like you could use a fence for your garden to keep the wildlife out.
Make a turtle garden with only sandy soil and fence off your garden
