actually a system restore will get rid of the syskey. I have dealt with MANY of these issues. If you don't have a system restore point, then you have to go into your system32/config/regback folder, and replace all the registry backup files in the config folder. That will fix the syskey issue, and will allow you to log into windows. BUT if you don't have a restore point, and no regback folder, your SOL
Instead of using a VM you should just install windows on an old HDD. Then you'll be able to record correctly without worrying about the virus/trojan, etc... But the last 10 minutes was interesting, it's too bad we couldn't really see it...
