Great video! I also live in Louisville, and I was thinking about getting one of these. I might use it for going to work. Is it legal to ride on sidewalks? Did you guys get any hard time from police or nobody cared if you ride safely? Thank you.
So just speaking from my experience...I mainly ride on back roads where speed limits are usually 35mph. As far as side walk riding I treat it like whereever bicycles are usually allowed. If you do ride on the side walk, people do get priority so move out of the way and ride slowly around people. As long as you don't ride like a jerk, people don't have issues. They just stare in wonderment 🤣. I've talked to a few police and they think it's cool. Again don't ride like a jerk especially around authority and you'll be fine.
Thank you for your response. I plan to primarily use roads instead of sidewalks, especially for my daily commute and recreational rides. There's a challenging intersection on my route, so I'm considering sidewalks for safety, hoping it won't be an issue with the police. Your advice on riding slowly on sidewalks is noted. I'm excited to get my unicycle, and as a lifelong skier and cyclist with good balance, I hope to pick up unicycling quickly. Your video is fantastic! I am jealous, haha 😊
@DudeNStuff Thanks! I am sure that I will. I have a RadRover Fat Tire E-bike that I absolutely love, so I am certain that a unicycle will be a blast to ride. It looks very similar to skiing.
Great video
Seated riding is nice though
