  • Cannock Chase CEP has been awarded funding from Greater Birmingham and Solihull and Local Enterprise Partnership to work with children and young people, to find out what creative activities they would like to see in their town centre.
The shapes created, will form part of an art installation in the town centres.
    You Will Need:
    • Shape template
    • Scissors
    • Ruler
    • Glue/ Double sided sticky tape
    1. Carefully cut around the outline of your shape, following the full black lines
    2. Using the edge of your scissors and a ruler, gently ‘score’ along the dotted line, to make your shape easier to fold. (‘Score’ is like a gentle scratch onto the surface.) Please be careful when using the scissors, get a grown-up to help you.
    3. Once you have scored your shape, don’t forget to tell us ‘What kind of creative things you would like to see in your town centre?’ This could be ...
    • Art features like sculptures or murals
    • Arts activities like workshops or trails
    • Events like festivals or open-air performances
Draw or write your answer on the inside of the shape (within the guidelines)
    4. When you’re ready, fold along the dotted lines, where you have scored the card. You will start to see your shape coming to life!
    5. With either glue or double-sided tape, stick the sides together. It might be easier to do this one-fold at a time.
    6. Tah dah! Your shape is now ready to be part of our Creative Corners public art installation
Safety Statement: This activity involves the use of scissors/ glue etc, please ensure that an adult supervises the tasks. You are undertaking this activity at your own risk.
