You don't know how to drive this jeep bro... You need to understand how the 4wd system works on it. You don't just "GAS IT"... put your foot on the throttle steady and HOLD IT THERE. The trans will figure out what it needs to do for traction, it will walk right up that hill. Every time you take your foot off the pedal you're screwing up that process.
Lol ..get a real 4x4 and don't have to worry about with system or mode to take or let the computer do it for you.Plus worst part its a mopar /Chrysler/fiat product
@@hopebrowning6300As a previous 4runner owner I would hesitate in saying Jeeps are junk. Might require a little more care than a toyota but Jeep capability can't be questioned.
People have so much confirmation bias. Like they come at it ready for everything but a Wrangler to fail. We need a LOT more STOCK Wrangler versus X videos.
Goodyear wranglers, they handle really well for this environment and rain, but I've been a bit disappointed with road noise on the freeway. But I bought the barely used for like 400 bucks so it's worth it
No momentum is tough on the system. Kinda funny how wonky the Quadra-Trac system can be with modes outside what you're on, being the better option. TFL Offroad does a pretty good presentation/deep dive on that.
@@nathanriddle4190 I fell in love with the Jeep summer 2014 in Puerto Rico. My aunt had purchased one and I never cared for them. We hit an unexpected storm and mud all over the place and water up to the door handles and when I came back to the states I said I want one so I purchased a 2015 Overland loaded. Today I have 110k miles with no issues.
Jeep doesn't have awd, full time 4H , designed in 1965 when wagoner come out. .awd is not 4 wheel drive. Awd is limited slip , full time 4 wheel drive the Jeep is in constant 4H .big difference. ✌🦆
That's the perfect exemple of how using the right mode makes a ton of difference! Very nice Jeep by the way!
Thanks! And ya exactly right
Some traction controls can be not much more than throttle control but the jeeps actually messes alot with how much traction the vehicle gets
@nathanriddle4190 did you have the air ride all the way up?
I think that was level one not 2
@nathanriddle4190 I've noticed ours does alot better higher up off the ground. Love the jeep bro. Color is slick.
The GC is more capable then people give it credit for....IF you know which mode to select and arnt afraid of the go pedal
I have tried all the different modes on mine and found it works the best in auto mode. Just floor it
and it'll make it up.
"put her in 4WD, your rear wheels ain't moving"
Guy doesn't know that the front wheels are engaged in 4WD on these Jeeps.
ok
Jeep Cherokees are FWD so he probably didn’t know Grand Cherokees were RWD

Did you watch the whole video? It me trying 3 different traction control modes. First auto, then sand, then rock mode
And trust me, I have held down the throttle in auto, it doesn't figure it out, it just digs ruts which is rude trail etiquette.

I hate that they changed the four-wheel-drive system, they should’ve kept the selec track from the WJ model
These WKs are gems… they share the same bodies as mb at the time and bloooooowwww 4runners the same age away

Guys are clueless
"Put in 4wd" i dunno why but that sparked my anxiety 🫣🫠 fun climb though. Try it again with some grippier tires.
It looks like a Quadra Trac judging by the way it moved, woulda been easier if it was Quadra Drive
Stock rims being 20s vs 18s and lack of trail rated badge are a dead giveaway as well.
Quadra drive on a Jeep should have pulled you up there. It helped if you know the modes and how to drive.
What kind of tires your running size and brand looks like a beast
32.5 mud terrains
Read the OWNERS manual
Lance Stroll as the camera man.
🤣 🤣 🤣 So
I agree
Put it in 4 wheel 😂😂😂😂
Honestly all that jeep needed was a better driver
This was all about experimenting with the jeeps' capabilities, which makes the driver better.
Sir for a full experience please consider this the Jeep Wrangler
UNFORTUNATELY the video never
does the hill justice. They say the camera adds 10 pounds, but it
also takes off 20° from how
steep the hill REALLY is 😆
SO TRUE!
Beautiful jeep
Thanks!

4LO anyone.
What trim is that? Also what options does it have?
It's the overland edition with quadralift and quadratrac 2
💪💪😍
Tires size?

WJ would have no problem
It didn't have a problem, when it was in the right mode. Plus the wk2 is way more refined on road, which is where it spends most of its time
Why the guy talks like this ? 🤮
What trim? Summit?
Overland
was this diesel?
Nope it's just the v6, but I haven't hit a challenge I couldn't do because of the torque

2014
Kook
What size tires are on it?
I think they are 32s diameter... the biggest I can fit without rubbing

Nope. I will be doing spacers soon

Not the beach should be in rock or mud mode anyways
This sand around here is much finer than beach sand and it alternates between slick rock and various densities of sand
My start button doesn't work now I'm using manual to start is.. Can you advise me is it not going to cause a problem problem
I have no idea
I have seen a Toyota don't better.
A 98 will do better
Probably with its solid axles
But a 98 won't have a fraction of my creature comforts and on road performance haha
Camera guy very annoying
Best AWD!!
Ya it is! I haven't filmed half of what it's capable of

Those are mud terrains with more than half tread... but honestly the sand out there prefers bald tires haha
