Hey buddy!! I love a dry dropper especially on a smaller Class A stream. Casts easier than a strike indicator, gives a great drift AND it catches fish. That’s a winning combo working on the surface AND underwater. 🤠👊
Hey Steve, thanks for watching. Yes, the environment is amazing and to catch trout there just makes it even more special. How I love fly fishing!! Tight lines… and a gentle release. 👊
Tiny fish, large fly. Glad to know I'm not the only thing on this Earth that suffers from my eyes being bigger than my stomach. 😆 Lots of large catches to make up for that tiny guy. Great job. 👍 Can't wait for the winter editions.
I don’t know if it was your intention to get me to travel from the southern shores of Lake Michigan to PA, but between you and Wooly Bugged I’m making plans! Great orientation to the outdoors; use it but respect it! Thanks for sharing!
Lol, thank you, Paul for those awesome comments. Yeah, Wooly Bugged has some enticing material… let me know when you are planning your trip and maybe we can get together with Mike and explore some PA wild trout streams. Send me an email at adventure@wildtroutman.com All the best and long live the wild trout!!
Thanks for watching Denny. Get involved with TU again. We do great things. My home chapter is the Stanley Cooper Chapter in Northeast PA. Tight lines!! 👊
@@WildTroutMan was in Blair county chapter now called the John Kennedy chapter quit in 2012. I got my tu license plate when they first came out. Bedford county is the next closest but to far too travel. Sorry.
The little 6 inch rainbow was the first wild fish you caught. The fish didn't break your line, your knots are failing. See he pigtail? What knot are you using?
Yeah, I always stress the importance of knots. Clinch knot is my go to. You can do everything right but if your knot isn’t perfect it’s game over. If you are into wild trout check out this hike in for native brookies. ruclips.net/video/jHMLDM1Uq3Y/видео.htmlsi=V9Tgi5A7Uod-CFSC
Hey Steve, I was invited. I don’t have details. Thanks for watching. Here is a great stream with a mix of native brookies and wild browns. Tight lines!! ruclips.net/video/3wPhZo5_vQI/видео.htmlsi=raEsT5-XDhbFEgOY
Bass Pro Shop guy!! Haha, nice!! Glad you checked out the channel. I hope you and your brother keep catching those big carp. Tight lines and I hope these Wild Trout Man videos get you in to fly fishing. Tight lines!! 🙂👊
Nice brown trout!!!
Thanks Rick, yes, what a healthy specimen!!
Beautiful big brookie! Great colors….striking the strike indicator….thats why I stopped using them and use dry dropper……

What knot do you use to tie the dropper onto the dry fly?
Hi Rick, Good question. I use a clinch knot. It’s the same knot I use to tie the fly to the tippet. 👊
Tight lines!!
How much does it cost to fish that stretch? Private club?

That big brookies were stockers, not natives.
Yes, but there were native brookies caught, as well.
@@WildTroutMan I saw on that might been have. Define native and wild to me.
@@steveyates1136 Wild brown or bow equals stream bred. Stream bred brookie is the only native. This definition is written in stone for me.

Dough bellies, not that there is anything wrong with that. If you want to catch truly wild fish go somewhere else.
Here is a great stream on State Game Lands with exclusive native brookies.
