You installed the battery incorrectly - the tape should be UNDER the battery. Then, whenever the battery needs changing, it can be easily removed by simply pulling the tape.

unless they made a new video, which i doubt, they installed the battery correctly, over the ribbon, so the ribbon can be pulled and eject the battery.
