Total running beginner here but your videos got me so inspired and i hope i can run so effortlessly one day too 🙌🏻 Thank you for all your great videos and information 💜
Hey Lucy. You are so inspiring! As someone who does a bit of everything - run, HIIT, strength and am part of a dragon boat team, I’d probs say I’m a bit of a hybrid. Doing my first marathon late this year (Amsterdam) and can’t wait x
The inspiration herself! ❤ Looking forward to seeing what you achieve this year Lucy, no better woman for it. Listened to a podcast where Huberman says a part of our brain grows when do things we really don't want to and rhat has been getting me out in this freezing cold wet weather granted i don't do 20km runs, a nice fast walk and a few lifting sessions are all I'm managing but you're still my biggest inspiration and I genuinely look forward to your videos every week Sending lots of love from Dublin Ireland
Love the inspiration! Always always enjoy your videos. 2024 will bring some by UTMB races and I qualified for my first 100 mile race in the fall. Very excited for the training
Go Lucy!! It’s great you mentioned you grew up training 9 days a week and how that contributes to your current split- that was important context . You’re an athlete and I don’t think people should compare themselves the same way they would a more general fitness influencer. I’d love to know more about how to eat/fuel hybrid. I’ve not found the balance between fueling and remaining lean.
Good luck for your ultra! ❤ It blows my mind that it can be cold and rainy on one side of the world, meanwhile I'm in a heat wave of 38-41°C days in Australia.
Some of us have been hybrid before RUclips was big, I was a lifesaver who competed well in both surfboats, rowing and swimming, I also ran. This was 20 years ago. The arguments over it are so silly 😂
Sounds like an amazing year ahead! I am in the middle of a goal, to complete all the runDisney events at Disney World for this race season. Wine & Dine weekend was in November, last weekend was Marathon weekend where I completed the Dopey Challenge (5K, 10K, Half and Full Marathon). Was my first full marathon! On to Princess weekend in February!
Your physique and strength (physical and mental) is insane, Lucy. I know I could do this too (in a theoretical-Goggins way), but dear god, it looks impossible 😅
Random question, but what shampoo/ hair products do you use? For someone who must sweat a lot I'm curious what you've found works for you and how often you wash your hair. I'm wanting to work out more often but the extra hair washes are worrying me (in terms of it becoming brittle/dry) thanks in advance 😊
I'm knocking on a bit (61 yoa) and unknown to me I have been a hybrid athlete for over 40 years. I would love to claim it as my idea and ask for royalties for use of the phrase but guess what? People were doing it before me. Lets not get too caught up in phrases of the day. Even at 16 it was obvious to me that being aerobically and anaerobically fit along with strength was going to help me play rugby, take part in running events and do martial arts. Never saw the need to paint myself in to a fitness corner where either I ran or weight trained which I saw others doing.
I used to use the same shoes as you used them for a year no both then something happened and my calves were not okay went to a run shop for a gait analysis and calves are so much better with new shoes 👟
While you train for both Hyrox and your ultra, do you track your food intake/macros? Or do you just eat intuitively? Not sure if you’ve answered that question in a previous question but. Love love your content, always so inspiring ❤
amazing ! i love the video❤ ✨ GOOD LUCK at yout ultra 💥 Go lucy GO LUCY ! You got this girllll 🎉🎉 my goal for this year is marathon and 60k trail ultra 😨🙏
Yeah probably! I get up at 6:00am most days, work 6:30 - 9am and then train, and then work till 7/8pm ish in the evening so my hours are long, you’d just do it the other way around, and train early in the morning! I make sure I have all long runs on a weekend too. I have 3 businesses so I work around this as best I can. But as I work for myself I choose my training and work times 💪🏼
@@LucyDavisFit wow I didn’t realise that was your schedule! You are such an inspiration to fit all that in! I feel like I have no excuses now! A cool video would be a day in your life, with time stamps etc, to see how it is possible to fit it all in; because i think a lot of people say they don’t have time but actually they do if they managed it well!
@@LucyDavisFit I've just started hybrid training and got my first 10k next month so getting in a few 5 mile runs each week. Aiming for a 7 mile run tomorrow.
True! That is what I really would love to incorporate more in my training, but it's tough when you want to balance it all and be able to perform on top in all aspects... @@LucyDavisFit
Hey there. 😊 I would like to reprimand you for your atrocious language madam. Wendy gave me a bollocking for my social media language this week. ❤️🤣 Will watch properly later. I’m in the gym, and more exhausted watching you. 😉xx
I feel like since I started combining running with lifting my period is a bit messed up 🥲 could you talk about how to adjust the nutrition? Like do you have to eat back the calories after the runs??
Ahh this is interesting! You don’t eat back calories you just need to set your calories at maintenance or a surplus with a calorie calculator that accounts for the activity level! I have one here that’s great - bit.ly/FREEcaloriecalculator xx

I would love a video explaining all the “terms” like AMRAP, EMOM, Hyrox style etc? With examples of sessions😊

How do you train 9 days a week that has 7 days???!
@@ninuts9653 2 sessions a day ?
@@georginafox2263 I guess maybe that's what she meant, but you'd normally put it as you did"7 days a week and two days of that twice"or something.
You are super motivational.! It’s amazing the amount of physical activity you are able to achieve and still run a business and do RUclips. Wow! 💪💪
So inspiring and down to earth :)
Amazing! My goal this year is to learn to handstand! 🙌🏻
Running a five minute pace while filming a video and talking is absolutely 🤯. Again, wow! Super impressive!

Hey Lucy! Do you get sore knees from all your running? Or have you ever? What do you do for that?

Hi Lucy. You run 18km on an empty stomach? Isnt that bad for hormonal for women health?
