hope I do not come off like a comment 'know-it-all', but when plunging (cryo via water) you have to get down to the vagus nerve... i.e. back of neck / behind the ears for the very reasons you highlighted...
Hell yeah! Her story is insane, just goes to show how limitless people are. Good luck with the Leadville 100! You’re going to kill it! And great job to the BPN always telling great stories in a beautiful way! Keep killing it y’all!
I've been following BPM and Nick for a while, but just discovered you. I'm a trail runner (made one ultra) and do weight training. Happy to finally found some contenant that reach my 2 passions
Really really inspiring, Amanda. I will go to the gym after my long work day today, because if you can go out and perform like that everyday, after 2 cancers and 16month of chemo, I can do that. Just wow, I wish you all the best. Respect and love from the Arctic Circle in Finland
Wow, I’ve seen a couple of your previous videos, but had no idea about your backstory. To say, I am impressed doesn’t even come close. You are unbreakable!
Tough smart cookie ❤wow what a story . Very inspiring…. I can’t run anymore because of my horrible varicose veins 😅 we all have a story . Love the cold plunge…. I’m a big baby tho ….
Can I just speak a word of warning? I know you protect yourself in real life, but be careful about what information you put out there. Showing your neighbourhood, your car make/model and licence plate etc... There are some psychos out there, and you may think your following is small now but your channel may blow up anytime. Make sure you are safe 💛
Amanda, you absolutely rock! I can't wait to see you crush Leadville and show the world that pretty girls can run 100 ultra miles in the mountains too!
What the heck - when you showed those pics of when you were going through the treatment - to then be doing what you are doing now - is incredible! I've just started getting into long distance walking, but my body feels like it wants to run (jog...shuffle, haha something a bit more than walk) but as soon as I started that, I got something like "extensor tendinitis" and was sidelined from the discomfort, but mostly from the fear of "making it worse" so my question is: I hear many endurance runners talk about the pain cave, the discomfort but pushing through and doing it anyway. So how does your average person (that is clueless about this and training) start - when all my doctor is telling me - "stay off your feet, don't do so much, you need weeks of recovery and all I did was go for 16 miles adding in this little shuffle (jeffing it) (after training for a month and already doing 70 miles). Seems for your average person - they just want you to sit on your A$$, and stay lame. Where do you draw from to know you should keep going? Thanks for the inspiration.
It's a very inspirational story but I've become intrigued recently about one common element of these types of stories: Do Drs really go around telling their patients "Hey, just so you know you will never walk (/run/swim etc) again."... Why do Drs say this to patients when RUclips is filled with videos of people running again just fine after their Dr apparently crushed their spirits so brutally?
I had not thought of confidence in that way but it makes all the sense in the world. I suppose I always knew that but I appreciate how you articulated it for us here.
4 days out from my cancer surgery, hanging on to these kinds of videos for hope of getting back to training soon. thank you!
❤

Stay strong! ❤

Am jealous of you getting those trails in Utah
They’re definitely such a blessing 🥹
I see BPN are doing these videos with their best looking athletes first lol
I know you spoke about nothing poison in the body but I’m pretty sure some bpn has artificial flavoring ?
And you're on RUclips why?
I don’t get the hybrid athlete thing. Not great from a performance standpoint but it makes for pretty people I guess.
Wow you made me subscribe ! ❤
