Sorry I'm still getting used to the Wii recordings and had to re-upload this due to a mild audio desync in the original To finally be able to work on the Wii library has been quite fun. I've literally waited years to play this title and it turned out pretty enjoyable. I think the gameplay mostly speaks for itself so the only point I want to address is that all of the other playthroughs/longplays I can find of this game do not feature the extra missions. There's a lot of extra missions and whilst they get repetitive, I do think a lot of these are unique and definitely deserve to be included into the video. My favourite extra missions are the "Legacy" ones as they feature old Sonic elements.

my game works until i try to load knight's passage. for some reason it says the disc can't be read when i do. it doesn't do this at any other point in the game. does anyone know why?
@@arjunmenon1796 its considered bad because of its wonky controls(like sonic 06 was much better lol). Besides that, the game is great, story is not bad, and the music is killer

I never got to play this game (my only Sonic Wii game was Colours) but from what I see, gameplay seems nice (even though I feel like it's sometimes just shaking the WiiMote around in every direction), behind the story (that isn't top-notch but what can you do, it's a Sonic spin-off game) lies an interesting morality pictured by Merlina and Sonic's debate on eternal or limited life and its uniqueness, and the soundtrack... Oh the soundtrack... Knight Of The Wind (the main theme), With Me (Merlina's boss fight theme) and Live Life (ending 2's song) are certified bangers.
Also seriously I forgot how bad Amy treats Sonic in this game. Amy's character in most games is So painful to listen and watch. Amy doesn't deserve to be friends with Sonic at all. And yes I'm critising Amy. No Excuses not to.

And... how do you expect Sega to port the Wii movement capture-based gameplay of this game on a console like the PS5? The Switch would be a better fit but since the storybook games were considered to be meh, and Sega insisting so much on 2D games, no way we'll see a remaster any time soon.

Such a cool game but hard to access nowadays unless you know emulation or own a copy. Insanely underrated, the gimmick/gameplay fits Sonic perfectly.
