OMG John and Hamish together again. I am getting quite nostalgic! I don't know how I missed this but I am glad the band is back together. I miss John's analysis. Hamish is a grand lad too. More from you two please.
Thanks Hamish and John, great video and I loved the favourite goal chat, lots of great memories. As others have said, it is great to have John on Celtic A.M. I was a big fan of Hail Hail 67 and never missed a video.
The captain question is interesting and probably an additional point on that which wasn’t mentioned was the manager situation in 2 years time. Will we still have Brendan or will he give the reins over to what could probably be Brown or Kennedy. Really glad to see John back more often. Himself, Stevie and Hamish always giving reasoned opinions, no “journalistic” bravado and hyperbole that you hear from others.
Agree also Really enjoy the differences between John and Hamish and Stevie and Hamish Its a v changed show but it is good it is so one way and the other way
CCV was a journeyman before coming here. I think he's settled & happy. He's got a home for as long as he wants. Players like Samaras, Lustig, Henrik etc, we got a good 7 years out them. Rogic & Bitton even more. So we do have the odd player who's *not* homegrown who will give us the best years of their career which is always good. Celts for life. I'd say that if Hart was younger, he'd have given us many more years.
Celtics real test will be in the champions league! Hopefully they keep up the good form! Brendan has done a amazing job on pushing players further on, not expecting Celtic to win every game, very exciting and good luck Celtic 💚
As for that 2nd question. Next season we will have a qualifier, BUT, we have already given ourselves the best chance of navigating next year's Playoff because we've invested in this window. This is us breaking that annoying cycle. Qualifiers will be much less worrysome now we have a solid team. We have a winter window and next summer as well to go, so we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. 🥳
Moussa Dembeles first Goal for Celtic is one I'll always remember celebrating, vs Astana in a CL qualifier penalty in stoppage time in the first half then same again in the second, my dad lost his phone in all the limbs 😂 turned up the next day at the ticket office so was all worth it 🍀
I watched Leipzig win away at Leverkusen,to end the unbeaten run , and it was striking that A) Leipzig penned them in ,first 10/15 mins .B) Leverkusen won the midfield battle ; scored a couple of goals C) Leipzig looked like Celtic, lightning on the break ,scored three. D) Leipzigs keeper was AMAZING. Food for thought H H 🍀🍀
Palma needs to get a go in the middle as a 10. He is not a winger. Definitely not BR winger. I think we will play 4231 in Europe with Hatate part of that front 3. Palma could do something there i think. He reminds me of Hacksabanavic though and look how that turned out
Hatate’s contribution with setting up the first goal that got the Dallas treatment. His pass to Kyogo for the missed chip in the second half. And yet he apparently had a poor game🤔
I love Reo, the chances he takes takes out opposition defenses, the thing he needs to start thinking about isn't just those great positive packing stats but the risk of it not coming off. He can try the worldy and effectively get a negative packing score. Personally, I'd still rather have him than not, but he needs to risk while considering how open it leaves us if it gets intercepted. HH
Its because he continues to give the ball away in bad situations. Personally i think all the midfield was guilty of that but hatate was particularly poor for it. He also always struggles with the pace of these games especially with chasing backwards. Its frustrating as Hatate has the most technical skill of the midfield but lacks in other departments.
I would make the argument that actually, Celtic don't shoot from distance enough. Calmac has been told to do this specifically, and he's on 3 goals in 4 games.
I agree, the goal should be to make the top 24. However, the last 16 pays 11M and the top 24 on pays £2M I think (1 for qualify for it and 1M for playing it?) With that kind of money on offer to win the tie we need to have a couple guys lined up (Bogusz? And/or a couple wingers) for January in case it’s looking likely for us to make the last 24.
Palma is a player. Clearly technically gifted but just lacks that top end pace. I think he can contribute in a big way when Maeda needs resting and games in Europe.
Pride comes before a fall ! Let’s not get carried away, pre season was great for morale but doubt if we’d get the same results if we played them now . If we can convincingly do hearts it will set us up lovely for the CL . We are looking like a team and really haven’t been tested. This season looks like a belter . In Brendan we Trust 👍🍀🍀🍀
Rodgers has not kept Holm for nothing, he sees something! You would have thought that Iwata would have been the safer bet. First priority is positional awareness, holding the ball, effective passing and being good in the tackle. They will have been coaching this natural talent in Holm to be game savvy and he could be a revelation as he matures, even this season.
I think Kuhn took Palma's spot. Maeda moved back to his favoured left wing...(even though he's got no left foot he really struggles on the right wing).
Lads, I understand your reluctance to say Celtic should be beating any team in the Champions League, every team is there on merit. But on Bratislava, we 100% should be beating them comfortably, by at least 2 goals. Their league is ranked around 25 in the world if I'm not wrong, well below the Scottish League. Even League Of Ireland teams have beaten those sorts of teams in recent memory, with Shamrock Rovers beating Slovan 2-1 at home. It would be a complete shock if we didn't win!
No chance. Celtics captain is always on the pitch. He'll be 30 by the time Cal is winding down. We will have better players than him on the pitch. No harm to him.
What is wrong with you people already thinking of next captain. Enjoy the now!! Enjoy that we have a fantastic captain who got a second breath, cant live in future
Come on troops. If we do not beat Slovan in first game then we shouldn't be there AT ALL! Should be a comfy win. If we can't get 10 points from those 8 games then games a bogie.
I'm hoping for 10 points, 3 teams have less money in their squads, a 4th is close. We will see if the new guys settle in time and impress. Look at the teams we have lost to in recent years, money isn't the only thing that counts, maybe they are good at things that are effective against us, maybe they distributed their squad to compensate for low overall valuation. Think Aberdeen... but with Kyogo (or CCV and Kasper). I liked the look of McCowan, can't wait to see Engels, Valle and Trusty getting their legs under them and Idah to get off the mark. Big Adam looks a bit low on confidence. Bernardo has looked great in response to Matt leaving and Kasper has been excellent. I expect Sinasalo to be a good young keeper too btw. He will be learning from Schmeichel (I'm still having to google Kasper's surname for the spelling, a wee mental block there). Assuming Kuhn's form stays strong and Trusty, McCowan and Engels work out Nawrocki, Welsh, Holm and Yang will struggle for time. Palma might too. If they settle in time? Maybe 10 is low points tally. Remind me, is the playoff seeded? Potentially exciting. Remember how effective BR's tactics were in his first time at the club, his ability to effect a game in play when he has his kind of players is very good. Last season he was sheperding an Ange team, I assume this window has the squad more in his own image HH
Best goal?!? March 11, 2018 Celtic down to 10 men, Odsonne Edward hands Dembele’s pass into the top right corner to win 3-2 at Ibrox!!! Didn’t even get a mention?? It’s why Rangers shut our supporters out of the Broomloan stand.
AP built for the longterm but not for himself at Celtic. BR piggybacking this and hopefully adding some of his own touch. I fear though, the ego health of BR is very very fit,.that's the risk.
OMG John and Hamish together again. I am getting quite nostalgic! I don't know how I missed this but I am glad the band is back together. I miss John's analysis. Hamish is a grand lad too. More from you two please.
Glad you have found the channel Peter 👍🏼
Bucket!
Great stuff seeing you two together again…

Thanks Danny. Always great to have John on for a chat. Cheers for the support 👍🏼

I like how brendan has changed from his own possession based style last season to reverting back to angeball
Celtics real test will be in the champions league!
Hopefully they keep up the good form! Brendan has done a amazing job on pushing players further on, not expecting Celtic to win every game, very exciting and good luck Celtic 💚
Agreed. Get past the first game and the we can set the target as the next challenge.
Great to hear from John again
Liam Scales future Capitan and at Celtic for Life
larsson v boavista..never celebrated as much before or after.what a feeling

Every new player must wait for their opportunity because nobody in their position deserves to lose their starting spot.

The dream team….Hamish&John. Missed u guys. Keep it coming bhoys.
Great shout by John. JVH last seconds of the game. Wit a nite. 🍀

Yeah I feel Hatate gets a bad rap for being the midfielder who tries the killer pass more than most.
Hatate is the most annoying player we have - v v frustrating - would be better off without him long term
The dubious lines have been swept under the carpet
I love Reo, the chances he takes takes out opposition defenses, the thing he needs to start thinking about isn't just those great positive packing stats but the risk of it not coming off.

He also always struggles with the pace of these games especially with chasing backwards. Its frustrating as Hatate has the most technical skill of the midfield but lacks in other departments.
My problem with Palma is he's to eager to have a shot from outside the box, when there are better options for him in the box..he's greedy
I would make the argument that actually, Celtic don't shoot from distance enough. Calmac has been told to do this specifically, and he's on 3 goals in 4 games.
Living these after work videos keep up the great work HH🍀
Thanks for watching

Very similar to Ange second season. Really think we can do something in Europe. Never been a better chance!! HH
Love the channel.
Thanks for watching Fraz
Palma is a player. Clearly technically gifted but just lacks that top end pace. I think he can contribute in a big way when Maeda needs resting and games in Europe.
He makes too many stupid decisions that cost us. Giving the ball away outside our own penalty box etc.
Ralston, Ross County 👍
Francis Turley looking like a talented prospect and if he knuckles down could become a mainstay in the mould of McGregor.
No winter break 👍the split should be binned
Home games winnable.
Hi Bhoys , the way Celtic hustled for every ball especially when they lost the ball was CLASS , keep it going CELTIC . HAIL HAIL .🍀🍀🧳
Brilliant 👌
Could you put up something similar too the first team squad of all the players who have left and are on loan 🍀
Rodgers has not kept Holm for nothing, he sees something! You would have thought that Iwata would have been the safer bet.
First priority is positional awareness, holding the ball, effective passing and being good in the tackle.

No chance
He is awful
I’m sorry but Johnston may be the Matt O’Riley next summer 😢
Hamish. Your some bhoy 🍀
I know he's just in the door, but I have a fewling Adam Idah could be at his final club. He's where he wants to be.
I think Kuhn took Palma's spot. Maeda moved back to his favoured left wing...(even though he's got no left foot he really struggles on the right wing).
You are asking about a ticket exchange, the third kit went out last Thursday and the shop was closed at 5:30pm... really
I think Taylor will be the next Celtic captain, and that is as it should be
Lads, I understand your reluctance to say Celtic should be beating any team in the Champions League, every team is there on merit. Wild chat
Nah, It will be AJ
Our lack of a proper defensive midfielder is going to be the reason we lose games! It’s been like that for years
Hamish if you ever want to discuss Celtic without the whole time difference then give me a shout. I'm in WA.
What is wrong with you people already thinking of next captain. Enjoy the now!! Enjoy that we have a fantastic captain who got a second breath, cant live in future

Rodgers loves to play out from the back and all potential captains John mentioned are our defence. Lead from the back.

Think Luke Mc Cowan maybe skipper in the future Hail Hai.
12 points is a good Campaign in the Champions League 😊
Would sign up for that right now
Scales will be next captain
AJ has what it takes to lead the team out. Success in UCL is 10-12 points
Johnstone certain
Board done well
I don't hold out much hope for Palma, he has no pace whatsoever, a lot of skill but needs to really improve or he will be off in January
€23 million on 2 project players is bad management and not progress
Henrik against boavista away.
AP built for the longterm but not for himself at Celtic. BR piggybacking this and hopefully adding some of his own touch. I fear though, the ego health of BR is very very fit,.that's the risk.
Ange builds short term squads, 3 years being his longest ever tenure.
@@lf67hh28 glad you researched Wikipedia
@@dooshdashcams2629 He never brought a single youth prospect through Celtics ranks.
