- A big screen iPhone that is slightly cheaper and a lot lighter, is very appealing to me.

You make very good videos and very consumer focussed
Thanks!! 😁👍
thank you for such good video!
valid points for choosing this phone.
No 120hz kinda a deal breaker for me. I know I’m spoiled with all the high refresh rate screen😢
yeah. I personally don't mind it too much, but it would still be nice to have considering even budget android phones has high refresh rate these days. And for some folks, it just might be a deal breaker. I hope apple keep making lighter big phones though, or at least try to reduce the weight of their Pro Max devices instead of making them heavier every year. 🥲
@@axhng yeah I agree, the pro iPhone is way to heavy to be used comfortably. I do miss the 7-8 plus iPhones era
Exactly why I don’t want to get an iPhone with it yet. I’m trying to hold out until it becomes the standard on all iPhones, like how FaceID did. But it may end up being a staple “Pro” feature
Worth iPhone is 13 imo
Isn't it better to go for the 13 pro max instead?
specs wise, mostly yes, since 13 pro max only loses in terms of a few features like autofocus for front cam, some image processing enhancements, and action mode for video. but price wise, a used set here is only like 150-200 cheaper than a brand new 14 plus, and having a full year of warranty and a fresh battery is more worth it to me. but most importantly for me is the weight. the 13 pro max's weight is uncomfortably heavy for me, and a deal breaker. 🤣
Great review as always 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for video I’m 14 tryna debate between this and iPhone 14 pro
I guess between the two it'll be mostly down to size and whether you care about the extra stuff the 14 Pro comes with like telephoto cam, 120Hz, etc. For me those aren't deal breakers and I wanted bigger screen (but lower weight), so went with this instead. 😂
14 plus vs S23 ultra - which has better battery life in real life? or are they similar? Thanks.
they're close, but I'm seeing slightly better battery life on the 14 Plus for my usage though. Like playing genshin, using GPS tracking + bluetooth earphones while jogging, camera usage, I'm seeing the battery percentage drop less on the iPhone 14 Plus in most cases. and for the rest like just scrolling social media, they're kinda similar. YMMV though since some tests I've seen seems to show the S23 Ultra having better battery life, like GSMarena's for example. could also be because they did their test at launch and newer iOS updates have improved things. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@axhng i suspected the same since iphone historically have somewhat better battery life although i am quite impressed with my S23 ultra battery life overall. somehow i feel iphone 14 plus with lighter weight and better repeatability (much cheaper to replace back and screen) makes it much better option in many ways.
If possible (using geekbench etc) can u confirm it has 6gb ram? Thanks.
@@youtubeitisisntit7333 yeah. S23 Ultra probably has better battery life than even other SD8Gen2 phones it seems, but likely at the cost of heavier throttling since it doesn't perform as well in very demanding games for me. :/
for iphone 14 plus geekbench does say it's 6GB RAM, and as usual RAM management is better on iOS too. I notice less apps/games requiring reloading when i open them up again, even when compared to the OnePlus 11 with 16GB RAM. Also flat screen likely will be more durable as well, and a lighter phone will be easier to handle and less prone to accidentally slips and drops. For me at least. 😅
@@axhng I agree, iphone 14 plus is definitely a very compelling package. Having said that S23 ultra is also awesome. I have never seen this type of battery life on any android phone.
hey are you sure s23 ultra is that price? is that shop reliable im always skeptical when buying
Yes. It’s actually cheaper now when I check their website at just under 1.3k sgd for the 256gb model. It’s a fairly reliable place. I self collected the phone at the shop and checked it on the spot. Have friends who bought from that shop before as well. I chose it mostly because the price was good and it was nearer for me. Alternatively, if you prefer a more well known shop, RedWhiteMobile has been around for many years and I’ve bought phones from then many times as well, and they website currently lists the phone at 1328. Their store is located in Bugis area which is a bit more centralised I guess.
Should I get the S23+ 512 gb or S23 Ultra 256 gb ?
@@shijou2867 hmm. personally i feel like if you don't mind curved edges on screen and a much heavier phone, the S23 Ultra does offer noticeably better hardware for around the same price. It's not like the 512GB version S23+ comes with more RAM anyway. But I know that for some folks, curved screen or a phone that is too heavy are deal breakers though.
i got the s23 ultra 😊 im curious, whats your opinion on mister mobile
@@shijou2867 I've bought a few phones from them before too. My experience with them has been positive so far and they're pretty reputable too i think. 😅
That’s why I migrated from Android to iOS a few years back. It’s reliable, stable, powerful, has a fantastic ecosystem and most importantly HAS NATIVE GENSHIN CONTROLLER SUPPORT! I’ve been using my 2018 iPad Pro + Xbox Series X controller to play Genshin since launch. I pretty much play there 90% of the time. I barely use my PC for Genshin at all 😂
I started the game on Android and played through most of the content on it. But once I tried controller with an iPad, it was hard to go back. 🤣
Good boring phone !!
🤣
Battery is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Also I like your way of jumping straight to the contents no time wastage.
@@shivamkrishn Thanks!!! :)
Hi Alex! Will you be importing a Oppo Find X6 Pro to review? interested to see your review on it!
pretty low chance of my importing one since I don't really feel comfortable spending so much on a phone without local support, not to mention as well it's uncertain whether there will be any region restrictions too. I've been keeping track of the Ace 2 (even bought one myself that has been flash with 11R firmware), and it seems like OPPO/BBK has been trying to restrict the phone more these days. ended up returning it to the seller since i had issues with it. forum.xda-developers.com/t/oneplus-ace-2-convert-to-oxygenos-fastboot-rom-flash_all.4560745/
but anyway, if it launches here in SG, i would be very keen to try and get one for sure.
😂
