The beautiful Roman city of Chester. Many people travelling to England often have Chester on their itinerary as a city to visit. And, why not? It’s a stunning city, with so much history and architecture - it really is one of my favourite cities in the world to visit. I never get tired of spending time in the city of Chester!
But, when there’s so much to see, where do you start? Well, look no further than the Chester walls. The walls in their entirety are about 2 miles long. But from the Chester Walls, you can see and take in nearly every major attraction that there is to see in Chester. And what is more, the Chester Walls offer the perfect vantage point for these sights.
The walls are an attraction in themselves. Originally built in Roman times, there are many artefacts of Chester’s Roman heritage on show. But Chester has also been pivotal in the history of Great Britain through the ages. Did you know that Chester played a key part in the English Civil War? There are still some vestiges of the English Civil War on show within the walls - something that you’ll find out in this video!

Chester is a beautiful city. I went many years ago but didn't know much about the history. After watching this, I'd love to go again and look at it with new eyes. Thanks, Mike
