Jesse, very informative. Have a question regarding finishes. How does a person just starting out figure out what areas need painting? For example, new millwork. Do they plans tell you or is this a question for the GC? Along these lines, is there a method from looking at the plans to figure out wall lengths and height?

Hi Jesse, I have dm ed you on instagram but haven't received any reply so I post here. I am curious about residential constructions in the US. I was just wondering why the houses in the US made from wood instead of concrete while houses in Asia are made from concrete which I think more lasting.
The other day I also googled and didn't find any company that build with precast brick materials (which can be less expensive). Is it because florida has storms and it doesn't comply with the code?
Do u need to get new material (precast brick) certification before you can use them? Thanks

It still gets me hot when each trade is only referring to one sheet. It's certainly the superintendents job to coordinate everything and review field conditions. But the trades should also take a guick look at the other drawings. Also not having a drawing set not mine on site is a problem. Yes we have I pads and such but each trade should have at least the a 1 or floor plan and ceiling drawing. Some subs send there guys to job and they are lost.
