@Leonie It's way too much here and especially in NYC. Its so expensive. People spend thousands. I never wanted a big wedding but being Italian, my parents insisted lol. Some kind of image issue. That marriage only lasted 4 years. When I got married the second time I bought a nice outfit the morning of the wedding and we eloped. Got married in a courthouse, went to dinner, got up and went to work the next day. 10 days later we went to my husband's cousins reunion in Argentina for 3 weeks. He's the oldest of 80 first cousins. We had a great time! That was 22 years ago. Maybe I'll have a party if we make it to 25!!!!!
@Leonie It's better that way. Here the expectations are so high. All that money can go to buying a house. They spend thousands on a wedding then live in their parent's basement. But the girls expect and want it. My niece is getting married and already it's turning into a huge extravaganza. She's having 80 just for her engagement party. She's going to have 250 at the wedding and just the venue with food is $200 per person. That doesn't include limousines, flowers, Music, dress, etc.
@Leonie Very interesting. In México we don't have an engagement party (we save a lot of money😄). Usually we celebrate the civil marriage first, which is usually very intimate, in my case my mother and sister (my dad had passed away many years before) with my uncle and his wife, and my best friend with her mother. On my husband's side, his parents, his brother and sister. Then you have the religious marriage. We had it about a month and a half after the civil one and we held it in a nice garden (around 150 people among family and friends, as my husband's family is big) Some celebrate the civil marriage a little before or after the religious marriage, let's say, in a private room where the party is to be held. In some places hugh marriages are being held. In a place called Milpa Alta, which belongs to México City, civil marriage is held and paid by the bride's family, and the religious one by the groom's family, though a lot of people, including neighbors, help. Both ceremonies include many, but really many guests. Even vendors (sweets, treats) are welcome to sello their products and they are offered to have a seat and eat. The family in turn in charge of the party doesn't even sleep the prior night preparing the enormous amount of traditional food for all the guests. Two music bands take turns so that there's always music to dance. It's crazy but fun!!! And it's a kind of competion between both families so as which party is the best. And the cakes are huge!!!! The bride and groom arrive at the Church on foot(it's the church closest to the bride's home), followed by a music band and all the people behind and there might be a "mariachi" playing inside the church (no dancing of course). Even friends and family in a prior day furnish the couple's house with furniture they pay. Well, thanks for reading if you made it😁😁. Honestly it’s Renée’s day and she can have whoever she wants for maid/man of honor and if Amber can’t be supportive of her decision then she doesn’t deserve to be in the wedding at all
Amber "compromising" and labelling it as her sacrificing for the bride is bull 💩 🤣🤣 it means she actually likes the dress, that's all. If she hated it she'd pull out of the wedding if she couldn't get her way.
"Mabye we can please Amber" No Brandon no!! That is literally the worst thing you can say in this situation 🤦🏼♀️ it gives her power. He needed to give the BRIDE power!!! ❌
When will the brides realize that their so called best friends are actually toxic. Seems like they include them just for the years of friendship and haven’t realized that these people have never actually been good friends.
She's trying to sabotage the appointment all cause she didn't get maid of honor 🙄 it's not that serious.... I don't know why the bridesmaids always think the wedding is about them 🤦
This girl is way more obsessed with just opposing everything the man of honor likes than actually being a good friend. I wonder how much drama she caused during the rest of the wedding.
“I thought she’d be on my side since she knows I should’ve been maid of honor” Baby of that was the case, you’d be maid of honor, I think you’re a lil delusional 😂
Amber certainly presented as immature and spiteful; not loving and supportive. It's unfortunate that she didn't understand that her behavior would be forever documented for the public and have the potential to negatively impact her relationship with her friend...forever.
When I was one of my friend's bridesmaids, we were just asked to all wear a long purple dress. We all chose a different style, but I think it looked lovely together and no one felt uncomfortable.
If I was *that* close to the bride, I can understand being really hurt. I can even understand having the urge to be petty about it. However, acting on that urge (especially in the childish way she did) makes you a terrible person and a terrible friend. No matter how much it stings, you handle things like an adult.
What a beautiful and pretty person the bride is. Brandon diffused a very tricky situation in the wedding party. Great job, Brandon, masterfully executed.
I had the honor of standing up as "best woman" when my best male buddy married. I wore a black pencil skirt, white blouse and dark emerald green jacket, and it worked fine. A lot of bridal party traditions stem from the middle ages. They can be altered.
I'd have had to test Amber a little like, "Okay, so then I'm allowed to wear whatever I want at YOUR wedding?" See if her attitude doesn't change then lol!
Amber saying she thought the bride would be on her side has made it a relationship ego/ power struggle dynamic thing. It's about how the DRESSES physically look for the bride's vision of her day. If she hates Amber's dress, she hates the dress, not Amber. That's what Amber doesn't understand or care about.
(6:17) “I thought Renee would be more on my side.” It’s not your side. You don’t get a side. Renee gets to choose what sHe wants for hEr wedding. You get to influence her decision and help her pick. You don’t get what you want.
I think she was genuinely hurt. Perhaps the bride needed to be more literal in her explanation... "you're the godmother of my child who means the world to me. I don't think any less of you by naming my man-of-honor. He is helping me thru the wedding. You are helping thru my life by being there for my child for her entire life..."
@@b.j.loveislove9090 that's what I was thinking too. A sound (non dramatic) heart to heart would have made so much more sense and had less hurt feelings.
"Finding this dress was alot harder than I thought." No it wasn't. Dealing with her and that nasty, jealousy attitude the whole time was harder than you thought. You, the man of honor, and the consultant have patience of a saint.
Man of honor is interest for sure. There had to be a reason the bride decided to change with only a few weeks left before the wedding. The attitude from her best friend pretty says it all. Bridesmaids these days are lucky to even have an opinion.
There is no way I would tolerate anyone in my bridal party to act this entitled. People should want to make the bride happy on her day. Yes, voice your opinion BUT understand it’s not about you. I true friend should never act so spiteful!!!
In the Netherlands we don't have bridesmaids. If we have bridesmaids they are young children. I am so glad we don't have this tradition.. I don't really like the drama. But on screen it is fun to watch!
My Mom said that exact phrase all the time! I'd always respond, "How do you know my feet are dirty?!" I miss my Mom with every beat of my heart. Love you forever, Mama!
Amber doesn't want to look like a creep!! I'm howling!! Creep, creep, creep. "Cramper", there's always one!! Congratulations Renee, Aubrey is a true friend, not fiend, like Amber. This made me laugh!! Love this show!
OH, HECK to the NO! Amber is petty and jealous and needs to sit in the pews! There is a reason Renee didn’t choose her as Maid of Honor and we all just bore witness to it.
That’s why I make SURE that my bride is heard at every appointment that comes in. Man, bridesmaids like that drives me crazy. I literally ignore them straight to their faces😂
I must be on an island by myself because I think "the" dress is super unflattering... even on two beautiful women. It's like a Regency dress gone wrong.
See Ya! Don't let the door hit you on the way out! Nope even though she 'compromised', I'd still not have her in the wedding or at it. Can't see the wedding day going without some kind of Drama with her there. Git walking 🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️
As someone who is planning to have a man of honour I wouldn't really have him pick anything plus I would just have him wear the same thing as the groomsmen.... but I would only have one bridesmaids.
Baby… As a bride searching for my bridesmaids dresses, Amber would’ve been removed from my bridal party. Just because we have history does not mean you need to be in my bridal party. If you’re going to bring drama and stress to my day you can be on your way!!!! Point blank period
Amber is acting like Amber Heard, having a fit if she doesn't get her way! Thank you Brandon for putting it out there: Is a dress worth ruining a friendship? Finally Amber got smart and gave in.
Maybe this is a good example of when you find out if someone's really your true friend or not. Trying to call so much trouble for this bride does not show me much of a friendship.
This girl seriously needs to chill. I'm not the maid of honor at my sister's wedding, it's our cousin, and I'm honestly not mad about it. It's her decision and I stood by that. That's what this girl should have done
Well, she’s hurt, and that’s what we might be seeing. The guy doesn’t seem any less self-centered to me. And it’s only been a week since the godmother/best friend was informed of the brides choice. Maybe not enough time to process the hurt? Bride’s choice, but I understand her pain. I think the bride might have just ruined her friendship though it’s her choice in the end.
She'd be out of the wedding. Intentionally causing drama is incredibly immature.

This girl is way more obsessed with just opposing everything the man of honor likes than actually being a good friend. I wonder how much drama she caused during the rest of the wedding.
bridesmaid pretend that it is their day lol
I was glad that she stopped acting like a spoiled brat and was okay with wearing the dress.
She rolled her eyes more than Dixie D'amelio in Attaway General.
“I thought she’d be on my side since she knows I should’ve been maid of honor”
Baby of that was the case, you’d be maid of honor, I think you’re a lil delusional 😂
This is the brides choice for godmother? That's insane, who would want their daughter to be like this woman?
That “Do you even wanna be at the wedding?”
Was spot on
My god that bride has so much self control. I would've slapped Amber on the first eye roll lol
That was a beautiful dress. The bride did a great job holding it together.
(6:17) “I thought Renee would be more on my side.”
It’s not your side. You don’t get a side. Renee gets to choose what sHe wants for hEr wedding. You get to influence her decision and help her pick. You don’t get what you want.
I think Amber would be out of the wedding!!!!
Oh it's horrible! First of all everyone should keep it mind that it's bride's big day! Not someone else.
Is the Bride to be and the vengeance bridesmaid still friends today??
This is what I want to know! And did she act shady during the wedding?
@@griffin7770 i think she's just jealous of the bride and the attention wasn't on her.
@@b.j.loveislove9090 I have never thought of it like that
@@b.j.loveislove9090 that's what I was thinking too. A sound (non dramatic) heart to heart would have made so much more sense and had less hurt feelings.
"Finding this dress was alot harder than I thought."
No it wasn't.
I could not omg...she would be removed in a heartbeat
There is no way I would tolerate anyone in my bridal party to act this entitled. People should want to make the bride happy on her day. Yes, voice your opinion BUT understand it’s not about you. I true friend should never act so spiteful!!!
I mean really, could she have rolled her eyes any more!
No doubt encouraged by the producers, but still. . .
In the Netherlands we don't have bridesmaids. If we have bridesmaids they are young children. I am so glad we don't have this tradition.. I don't really like the drama. But on screen it is fun to watch!
With a best friend like her, you don't need enemies. I would've told her she was a guest before we even got to the store.
With friends like that who needs enemies
Why not have a man of honor and a maid of honor?!??
As long as we’re just making up titles anyway…
I was wondering the same thing - just like some brides choose a maid of honor AND matron of honor (or even 2 maids of honor).
Well if the bridesmaid wants to act like that it's pretty obvious why there isnt a maid of honor
OH, HECK to the NO! Amber is petty and jealous and needs to sit in the pews! There is a reason Renee didn’t choose her as Maid of Honor and we all just bore witness to it.
We need HauteLeMode to cover this episode.
Yes!!!!!!
Girl!!! Amber is not your friend!!! No true friend would act like that…
LOL! I kicked one of my bridesmaids out of my wedding! For acting the exact same way! Didn't regret it either!
Amber oh Amber... 😤
I would have needed much prayer after the first eyeroll.
Simona looks gorgeous on all dresses!
If that was my bridesmaid, I would have kicked her out acting like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. The man of honor Aubrey is super supportive.
Is he wearing the dress
That’s why I make SURE that my bride is heard at every appointment that comes in. Man, bridesmaids like that drives me crazy. I literally ignore them straight to their faces😂
the bride reminds me of my "adoptive" older sister and my heart goes out to her :(
This is ridiculous. I now understand why I treasure small weddings!
Damn girl it ain’t about you! 😳 I would have told her to get dressed and go home!
If that were me, I would have just kicked her out of the wedding. Amber needs to get over herself. It is not her wedding.
This has to be staged, no one can be that self-absorbed. Its not your wedding Amber!!!
Yeah, even if they are like that, you'd think they know better than to act like that on TV. Sadly, seems a lot of people take all this seriously.
A little child tries bridesmaids dresses :
You can generally date the video from Brandon's hair. Which, weirdly enough, is more on trend than the bridesmaid's dresses. I like his hair here.
That young man saved the day when he made that girl realize her friend was more important than the dress.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean that you're not the maid of honor. I meant you're NOT IN THE WEDDING!"
"she is pretty vengeful" - yeah, I could not be friends with someone like this. I need to trust my friends.
Baby… As a bride searching for my bridesmaids dresses, Amber would’ve been removed from my bridal party. Just because we have history does not mean you need to be in my bridal party. If you’re going to bring drama and stress to my day you can be on your way!!!! Point blank period
The picture for the vid is priceless! They need copies, framed, lol!😂
@8:53- “ I don’t like to compromise“
Seconds later…
“But I will… for you”
There! You see what you did? You compromised! 😅😂😂😂
if i were there i would’ve been like... “just leave if ur being immature!”
Wow! Amber needs to get a grip. She looks a little older than the ten year old she’s acting like.
“I’m her best friend “ oh really? Then how about you act like it? Hm?
I don’t understand how people can have friends that act like this 😭
And she wonders why she isnt the maid of honor..
Amber is acting like Amber Heard, having a fit if she doesn't get her way! Thank you Brandon for putting it out there: Is a dress worth ruining a friendship? Finally Amber got smart and gave in.
She wouldn't be in my wedding.
Amber’s eyes are gonna roll back into her head!
When you watched so much SYTTD that you recognize this is a reupload 😶
That two tone dress looks more like a juniors dress than a formal bridesmaid dress.
You can definitely have both a gentleman & maid of honor. It is all up to the bride. It is her day!
(6:19) “Cause she knows I should have been maid of honour.” Does she? If she thought that, she would have chosen you.. but she didn’t, so accept it.
Agreed about the pain. Amber hasn't had enough time to process - a week before something like bridesmaids' dress shopping isn't enough
