    You can easily make an economic "head" argument for eliminating poverty. Poverty leads to crime. Crime disturbs productivity. Productivity goes down, wealth creation goes down. Same for investing in education. If you don't invest in skills and training, who will British companies hire to work for them? We'll need to import more labour in the form of immigration, thus compressing wages further. Lower wages means less tax take. Less tax take means more poverty and less investment in education. Round and round we go.
    I wish the left would focus more on the "head" because most people don't care about the "heart" arguments.

    • @davidconnelly1793
      @davidconnelly1793 9 лет назад +2

      ReppeNThA707 Here's an idea. Why don't you stop being brainwashed by the mainstream media and look BEYOND the dude's looks and general demeanour? I mean, I take it you've got a brain, right? Why don't you use it and judge the guy based on something more substantial that all that trivial Sun reader's bullshit?

    • @BazookaTooth707
      @BazookaTooth707 9 лет назад

      David Connelly You know nothing of me, you putz.
      I wasn't disregarding any of these guys; I simply said I know nothing of them.

    • @davidconnelly1793
      @davidconnelly1793 9 лет назад

      ReppeNThA707 No. That's not true. You said, "This man seems very irritable." By no stretch of the English language is that simply saying you know nothing of them. It's going beyond that and saying that you find the dude irritating.
      So, do you care to tell us why you find him irritating? I mean, for all I know you might have some great, well thought out reason. I don't know. I'll let you think about that and look forward to your answer.
      Here's what I DO know.
      The mainstream media have already began crucifying this guy. They've attacked his looks. They've attacked his age. They've said that he's not leadership material. They've basically torn the dude apart. Why? Because, for the first time in decades, there's a chance of a guy with genuine left wing leanings becoming the leader of the Labour party. Make no mistake, that would be a nightmare for big business. Those large corporations who have taken control of the three main parties.
      Now, politically speaking, you're free and welcome to be left wing, right wing or anything in between. It doesn't matter to me. But one thing that I'm going to call out EVERY TIME is when I see people like you saying things like 'the guy irritates me', and you haven't even got a clue WHY you feel that way. I've just asked you why you find him irritating. Here's a bet! I bet you can't say why you find him irritating. Even now, you can't give me one solitary, meaningful reason for finding the dude irritating. Go ahead. Prove me wrong. Take as long as you want and tell us all why you find him irritating. I'm waiting!
      And in the meantime, let me tell you why I think you find him irritating - along with tonnes of other people (some of whom are commenting in our midst). The reaction that you've posted is EXACTLY how the mainstream media wants you to feel about the dude. Now, I know that it's unpleasant to be told that you've basically been brainwashed but please don't be offended. It's not the reaction that I want.
      My appeal to you (and I can assure you, it's not an insult) is to stop being swept along by media driven bullshit and use your fucking brain when it comes to matters to do with the judgement of other people.

    • @BazookaTooth707
      @BazookaTooth707 9 лет назад

      David Connelly I understand why you're unsettled but my comment wasn't slander. He's irritated because he being hassled.
      I should've rephrased my initial comment. I'm basically stating he seems irritated and I'm obvious to what and who he represents. In no way am I traducing him.
      Could you quantify his significance for me; as I've said I'm ignorant of the facts.

    • @davidconnelly1793

      Alright alright. Time to defuse. What you've said is fair enough. Good luck. Sorry if I was a hostile pain in the ass.

    Noting here the personal abuse of Corbyn which people of limited intelligence (usually right-wing) stoop to after reading their copy of their billionaire master`s daily newsheet, in contrast to Corbyn not using personal abuse
    -but I will say JC has every right to use the C word to describe Tony Blair.

    He should not use the word grotesque. Too strong for the UK. Maybe China...India and many other countries then yes use that word. Uk has poverty sure, but grotesque should be reserved for real poverty where people are dying of lack of food (and lack of NHS and lack of benefits). In the UK you can be in 'poverty' but still have a mobile phone and a large tv and a free hospital nearby. Makes no sense to use the word Grotesque...the twot.

      Lewis Cranston If corbyn was the answer?
      how did the conservatives gain more councils in the UK local elections than ever before?
      He did better in the GE but still lost. mostly because the conservatives had a manifesto that showed what the conservatives are really like.
      it was almost like they were trying to lose the election on purpose.
