Inside 5400 Sqft. Luxury Workspace in Bengaluru | KRG Studio & AppleBox Studio's | ArchPro | HDR

Nestled in the heart of Bengaluru, the collaborative masterpiece of KRG studio and AppleBox Studio unfolds, spanning a generous 5400 sq.ft. The project drew inspiration from two distinct worlds- the cinematic legacy of KRG Studio, renowned for its involvement in creating iconic movies like KGF and gurudev Hoysala and the visionary approach of Apple Box Studio, founded by the former MP, Ms. Divya Spandana. The key concept revolved around creating a space that seamlessly intertwines the realms of cinema and design, resulting in an environment that is not only functional but also Aesthetically captivating.
Upon receiving the space, it presented as a vast canvas with immense potential yet lacking coherence and functionality. Our initial impression was one of excitement tempered with the recognition of the challenge to seamlessly integrate the dynamic requirements of film production with the meticulous demands of design aesthetics.
I wanted the space to exude that sense of a closely-knit group working smartly towards accomplishing their goals, with a subtle infusion of cinema and style encompassing the space. I also wanted the place to give a warm, welcoming feel as they expect to host many high-profile guests at the site. To translate the brief effectively, we focused on delineating distinct zones within the workspace, each serving specific functions while maintaining a cohesive design language. This involved meticulous spatial planning, integration of versatile storage solutions, and prioritization of open layouts to foster collaboration and creativity.
One of the biggest challenges in designing the space was the spatial arrangement as the office floor required 9 separate rooms, and the building had a cone-edge shape towards one end. The curvy workstation diagonally across the hall allowed for a smooth flow and one with easy access to all the rooms.
The spatial configuration comprised a well-defined reception area, inviting lounge space, functional working areas, strategically positioned meeting rooms, and thoughtfully designed outdoor terraces. These areas were interconnected intelligently to facilitate seamless movement and interaction among occupants, promoting a culture of teamwork.
