This was very useful, I would also recommend for a primary either the Punisher or Slugger Shotgun and Liberator Penetrator. The latter two can deal with the medium armor enemies and the punisher does immense amounts of damage as well as insane stagger so even if it can't pen the medium armor enemies it'll keep them stun locked until you can shred a weak point and can even stun or kill multiple enemies with its spread. Jar-5 Dominator is decent for a mid range heavy duty sniper buuuuut aiming can be a bit cumbersome, but all of these would be good options for backup when your railgun is low on ammo if your supply pack is either out or unnavailable.
This guy is a troll or an idiot -
1. Railgun is never used, its niche is big hits against single bots, but at lower difficulty, you can do it other ways, and at higher, good luck standing still to line up shots. EAT is simply better and a great team asset too, Recoiless is on a par, just getting up to speed on the quasar. Railgun needs to be denerfed.
2. Supply pack is something you never, ever use - at lower, you dont need it, at higher, you will move that much you find ammo, resupply or die.
3. So you will never use your primary, but shotguns are out? What idiocy is this? If you never use your primary than yes, the gun that can pump out the most damage fastest or one that can actually hurt bots at range helps - punisher or breaker are ideal. With your primary you want to flip to it, kill and go. Its breaker for those "special" moments, or punisher if you go for a load that might leave you with just a primary.
4. Use the scorcher - cant comment but I strongly suspect this guy is lying if he says he has picked up a lot. Never seen one dropped, lvl 49 helldive only now.
5. Use heavy armour - out of all the awful takes here this is the worst, at the higher difficulties, you need to be moving all the time, and 10% not there any more is worth 30% being there and getting hit - faster is by far best.
6. 500KG bomb? Again, this guy has to be trolling, yes 500kg is a big boom but the orbital laser sticks around for a good 20 seconds and kills everything, actually aiming at it. And three uses.
orbital railcannon is a must on bots - you don't need to throw it exactly on target because it will lock on to what its thrown near and one shots hulks, tanks, towers, even fabricators. the 500kg is pretty and very effective IF it hits - but trying to hit moving targets with its extremely small blast radius can feel bad when you miss.
I would have to say myself that the anti material rifle is better than the railgun against the bots imo.

Auto cannon is my preference it’s more versatile especially if you get surrounded
i have to disagree on shotguns. the breaker can flatten a platoon of bot infantry in 1 mag dump if played efficiently like SWAT breach, and it can kill 2 - 3 devastators with 1 mag. fast reload, good spread, and more range than you think. your situation in 5:55 can be solved with a breaker easily
Yeah I literally use the slugger shotgun as a sniper sometimes. They have crazy range

Autocannon is just better. Takes out bot fabricators from distance and can take down hulks, one shots at sts in the leg, and handles bot drops better, plus not having to use grenades to blow up fabricators allows me to bring stuns which stops bots for like 4-5s. Also orbital 120 and 380 are the best for throwing at heavy outposts and just dipping
THIS. Orbital rail is nice if you have a tower looking at you.
I take out bots with the marksman rifle primary weapon all the time with ease and from a distance. It's great for up close because most smaller and fast enemies only take 1 to 3 hits with it anyway. Honestly it's whatever strategy you make work for you. I definitely don't think the marksman rifles are "useless" though.
3:26 Bro you can’t tell me that regular grenades are better for bot missions when impacts are superior. You can take out tanks in two hits and you don’t even have to hit the weak spot on the shredder tank specifically. Same for the mortar emplacements. Just try it and you’ll see.

the best is relative and depends on playstyle. For example if you run the jar or scorcher, and is running around doing POIs with light armor you could run the shield pack instead of the supply pack. also the orbital laser and 500kg also is a good combo(just don't be too liberal with the laser).
shoot the lights out on obj so you can see their red robot eyes makes life a lot easier :)
2 things I would change: use rocket pods instead of precision strike and use stun granade instead of regular nade
imo autocannon is a much better choice for bot maps, u can deal with towers, tank (like what, 2-3 hits max? on the back) i do agree that shield is a good lifesaver for bot maps.
THat aside i m not really sure what is the best to run with shield. (expendable anti tank is also really good) Railgun used to be super OP pre-nerf, but now its more like a preference and how good u are at with 1 shots. personally i dont like it anymore now haha
One should always carry eagle airstrike/500kg/laser orbital/railcannon (these 4 are always S tier), if you dont carry these in either bots/bugs maps. u r gonna lose out alot as u need building killers, anti armor killers etc
primary weaps u prob go with sickle (with scope)/scorcher
Completely disagree. Why take the railgun just so that you have to spend the whole rest of your kit supporting it? The AMR version of this build is better. Why not take the dominator or something which will deal with light and medium bots as good or better than the railgun. Then the AMR or quasar which both leave your back open, like the railgun, but are just better than the railgun at heavy enemies. Now you can either get a shield backpack and stick with medium armor for increased protection AND stamina. Or you can put whatever other strategies you want and grab someone else's backpack or whatever you wanna do. Railgun is also useless against gunships which is an almost game ending disadvantage.
Great video but... PLEASE DESTROY THOSE DROPSHIPS! I was practically in tears watching you stand there with the railgun as they dropped. (I hear orbitals will do the trick too but timing is key)

With the scorcher you dont really need the railgun since you can kill walkers from the front with 3 shots and tanks/hulks on their weak spots.
I've tried the 500kg bomb on bots but find it's not the best option tbh, I dropped a 500 right on a hulk and it just walked out of the explosion like a fucking terminator and shot me in the face as I stood there stupified.
I'd say the Eagle airstrike is a must if anything.

It's actually better than the orbital railcannon since the eagle has 3 uses and one-shots any tank, hulk or tower.
the railgun is not a must have, anti-materiale rifle, recoilles rifle and the autocannon are good as well, just shoot their arms/legs and the hulks cant do anything
instead of supply pack, i take the Shield Generator Pack, maybe its been nerfed but its still good and saving my ass a lot of times
the 500kg bomb good for bugs but there better options like the eagle strikes or just autocannon sentry with a mortar
in the last time im using the 380MM HE Barrage for the bot bases, its a lot of fun and the orbital railgun as well
u can take what u want on your equipment but on armor i would recommend the armor with the democracy passive so u have a 50% chance to survive lethal damage
that saved me a lot against the bots as well

@@yyll8393 plain airstrikes are good for bases / crowds. 110s are great for killing tanks / cannon towers or finishing off hulks. 500 KGs are great multi purpose, can take out smaller crowds, tanks, hulks if well placed, and are good for destroying a lot of objectives.

I always use the autocannon on bot missions because I just want to have a shot at dealing with bot drops. Is that a good idea.
Autocannon can't destroy bot drops. That's EAT or recoiled.
Don’t listen to them the autocannon can actually knock bot drops down. But ur better off and will be more consistent just hammering the bots on the bottom of the ship before they even drop. You can get most if not all

What is going on?😅 Watching the first 12 Minutes of this, just convinced me to never play Railgun. Autocannon, shoot Hulk in the Head, done. Why people cling to the Railgun so much?
Probably so you can also run shield generator for most. Running supply pack seems weird to me as there's ammo everywhere on the map plus resupply

I suggest an Explosion Resistence 50% Armor for that or maybe the +2 Stims Armors, also makes you a little bit more survivable, just in Case you want to learn how to play without the Shield🫡

it might sound weird for some player but i found that. 110 rocket pod is much easier to target kill hulk/tank and laser cannon tower than 500kg.
why? 110 rocket pod have auto aim feature like orbital railgun. so it will aim at largest enemy in the area and deal damage to them which make it much easier to use.
you not have to aim where you thrown them just thrown in the direction of tank and it will be gone. plus it will aim at fabricator too. so just thrown it into enemy base and it will be gone.
and it start with 2 charge so 3 charge with hanger upgrade.
the down side is it have small radius so if you want to take down more than 2-3 enemy in the area this is not it. also it's almost alway miss the flame thrower hulk because it move too fast to get hit by 110 rocket.
one thing about bot is barrage strat is weirdly effective againt bot. even with large base 1 380 will wipe the base out include all the hulk and tank in it.
Honestly I’m level 35 been playing for a bit do find myself towards the boys a lot more mostly cause sniping and being quick and stealthy is more rewarding
Clearing out a camp/group of bots or bugs stealthily without a hitch, no drops or breaches, always feels super rewarding.
This video would be a lot more helpful if there was a chart or something that summarizes everything. It's hard to find the information in this 30+min video.
the first key against bots : destroy ships , just shoot 1 engine and he will drop and kill all bots under him ... and like that u will have clear map , i always take ricoiless rifle , quick 1 shot hulk in eye (and trust me its not hard with ricoiless rifle) and destroy maaany ships cuz he hase 6 shots before re-supplie , airstrike for clear and destroy fabrications, railcannon for 1 shot tanks hulks and cannons towers , and 500 for other heavys if already use railcannon , or for clear
