So here's my situation, I'm in Finland only on the basis of my residence permit processing and of course my old landlord in CT graces me with a message I've been summoned for jury duty. In other words, I don't have really anything to prove my residency in Finland because I don't exactly have it quite yet. Could I postpone my summon date and then submit my proof of residence after I receive it? Or do you think sending them documentation about my application processing would be enough? Wouldn't contain an address or anything just my name and that I've applied for residency. Any help is appreciated.
Hey Kebo, while completing your exempt from jury duty form, I’d upload any docs that show you’re not in country- flight ticket, or school enrollment if you’re studying, etc.. Hope it helps!
If you do this can you lose your driver's license? I was told by LA court that if I provide this proof then I would lose my driver's license for the state since I don't live there Is this true?
You're lucky to be in a country where you have proof in English. All my documents aren't even in the Latin alphabet. One has my name in English, but nothing has my address in English. Do you think they'll accept my Amazon packages instead? 😉
